Particularily Black people and other people of color who have this type of hair. Why is straight hair considered better? And why are people ashamed or think negatively of this type of hair. Why do people use to chemicals to break down the hair, just to look like another race.

I know that people love talking or showing off about their race to others, but is this really making us understand other peoples cultures more because they tell us or does it just seperate us from them because they are making it clear that they are different?

So, in the Metro Detroit area school has been cancelled for the second day in a row due to the cold.

Yes, zero and negative 2 is cold, but it is not drop dead, face freezes if you step outside cold.

I don't know about you but my boss doesn't call off work for "cold".

I cannot believe that in this day of global economies that the best way to make sure our children have jobs and are successful is to teach them to call off work all time.

Your thoughts?

i don't understand why some of these friends get an ethnic minority grant when coming to university. Im not opposed to it if there is any reason other than the colour of their skin, however one friend in particular of an indian race is FAR wealthier than my family, has no real need for 1000 pounds is entitled to it, her family is English, for 3 generations and she does consider herself to be English, i don't mean to ask this question in an offensive way, im literally just curious as to what others think about this and if anyone could shed light on to WHY this is just and equal treatment i'm happy to listen :) thanks

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Teenagers often suffer emotional consequences from having sex, even when it's "only" oral sex, a study published Monday suggests.

Researchers at the University of California San Francisco found that up to one-half of the sexually active teenagers in their study said they'd ever felt "used," guilty or regretful after having sex.

Though such feelings were less common among teens who'd only had oral sex, about one-third reported some type of negative consequence.

Dr. Sonya S. Brady and Bonnie L. Halpern-Felsher report the findings in the journal Pediatrics.

The study, according to the researchers, suggests that parents should be sure to talk with their kids about the potential negative effects of having oral sex, not only intercourse.

"When parents and teens talk about the consequences of having 'sex,' they may not take the time to define what sex is," Brady and Halpern-Felsher noted in comments to Reuters Health.

Should all Americans not of native American descent be deported back to their original homelands. They illegally stole the country and massacred the native people indiscriminately. This genocide was comparable to the genocides of Nazi Germany. Reparations should be given to native Americans and their land should be returned. Any memorials to the criminals responsible for this genocide such as General Custer should be removed. Any memorials to people involved in making propaganda movies glorifying this genocide such as John Wayne should have their memorials removed
