And yes I'm black.

I think that African American's are the exact same as any other race. There's all types of personalities within the race - just as there is in any other ethnic group.
I hate the fact that black people have such ignorant stereotypes. It hurts my heart when I hear friends and family who are still discriminated against to this day. Those people who have the nerve to treat other human beings as less-than are not educated and need to open their eyes.
If my children are ever faced with such stupidity, I will kick that person's *** - personally

That's a really broad question.

What do I think of the stereotypical black person on MTV-stupid

What do I think of myself- Freaking sweet.

Everyone is different...all races are different, and the people within those races our different as well.

The reason why we have stereotypes, is because things like {your question} continue to generalize huge groups of people, instead of focusing on the individual...

Black people? Africans? Darkly skinned mexicans?

Stop focusing on color...and realize that it means nothing.

I am Black and I see Black people as individuals, each person has their own personality and perception of life. You can't make a positive or negative generalization of a group of people, because you don't know every single person.

Which black people?

I like the ones I like; dislike the ones I dislike; and am relatively indifferent to those I don't know.

What kind of answer were you expecting?

Are all black people one homogenous group to your mind? And be honest.

Same as anyone else. Same needs, same emotions, desires, etc.
The difference seems to be in atitude. Some have real chips on their shoulders.
To me, we are all alike.
And yeah, I'm white.

They have colored skin. ;)

I think of black people the same thing I think about all people; they are capable of great things and they are also capable of evil things.

I think many of them choose to separate themselves from other groups, then complain about being treated differently.

Not all of them, though.
