Particularily Black people and other people of color who have this type of hair. Why is straight hair considered better? And why are people ashamed or think negatively of this type of hair. Why do people use to chemicals to break down the hair, just to look like another race.

Well I'm white and I have very curly hair..usually, then when I brush it it's just kind of curly...and honestly I don't think straight hair looks good on everybody. Straight hair is just easier to style and take care of, but both are equally beautiful. Personally I really admire the "kinky" curls of black people, esp. black women b/c they usually have it long, and it looks very pretty and cute and I wish sometimes my hair was that kind of curly. And I don't think all people change their hair to "look like another race", I think it's to have a different look and style, not to be another race. I don't think everybody or even most ppl. hate "nappy" hair or African-type hair; if they say they hate it, maybe they're just jealous?

because it's very unmanagable i have very culry hair..besides straight hair looks more presentable and smooth...whereas curly hair giives an impression of wild, childish...curly is very beautiful but very unrully especially when you have a lot...
