i read the book bury my heart at wounded knee, and have never been so moved by their history and there simple, but spiritual outlook on life.there love of the land and how loving but when needed, ferocious a nation they are. the white man raped them of there land and betrayed them so often..but still they stood noble and proud,how could i help To keep their memory alive.?????

Has any one else (black) experience this, why is our own black people with lighter complexion treat black with darker complexion awful. and vice verse. I have experienced this personally from classmates in school. Me and my friends who are Lighter complexion blacks, they don't like it when I try to become friends with a black person who has a dark complexion. I have experience this at home too, my mom is black and my dad is white. I mean i just don't understand, we are all black people? Please tell me your experiences with this situation, and what ways we can change this?

First of all, before I go any further, this is not about my preferences in religion or politics. I will not mention either and for the purpose of this question, it's not important.

I've quit answering questions in both the political and religious categories. For the most part, they are just a gorified pissing match. Regarless of what side of the fence (again, no preference) there are people on all sides, either asking questions purely intentend to upset a group, and the same is practiced in the answers.

So my questions is, why do you answer those questions? Why do you ask them? I just don't see any evidence that anyone is doing anything to advance thier cause. I haven't seen evidence of anyone comming to an understanding or an agreement. There just seems like there would be more effective ways of working for your cause. Or, is it just for the fun of it?

I am asking this question, because we (America) can't seem to get
past black and white. It is ridiculous... To say we are the greatest
country in the world. Are we that stupid that we can't see that
the powers that be" , are using race to divide us as a people ?

We have to go to an AA meeting for my health class (yes it's for class! lol...and the ironic thing is I don't even drink!)...but my question is, can I just show up to a meeting or do I have call ahead of time to let them know I want to come to a meeting?

I'm 16 and I live in Italy since I was born but I want to leave Italy beetween 2 years, when I will be 18, or when I will go to university, to learn better to speak english. I'm just curious and appeal to the collective experience of the netizens. Have you ever gone out with a Vietnamese girl? Treat her well, showered her with attention etc. She goes back to Vietnam and then when you call her the first few days, she would answer you. Thereafter, it'd be hard to reach them, when you managed to get them, they'd say they are in the hospital because their father is sick and that they'd come back and talk to you more later when you ask them what's wrong. I've dated 2 Vietnamese girls. First one gave me this excuse, took my money and then dissapeared. The second one is giving me the same excuse now and I have a sense of deja vu. Either its a coincidence or they from the same town with the same modus operandi.

Although really I don't care, I just find it funny because many people predominantly Caucasians and Asians always think or most of the time think I am Korean when in fact I am Japanese. Sometimes to the point where a Korean person in Japan approached me and started talking in Korean and once at University in Canada a British girl asked if she was pronouncing these Korean words right. My sister sometimes has this problem but they think she's Chinese.
