again nothing against it, but It's not okay when someone just bombards your life with this lifestyle, and has no sense of remorse or responsibility of what damage could be caused. rather mental or physical..what do you think???

I watch Bush address the other night...healthcare is not letting everyone get disability. People classify fat people as lazy, slow, and poor hygeine...any thoughts on jobs.

I am not talking about TV shows like Will and Grace or Queer As Folk because not all the actors are gay anyway. What I am talking about is the gay guys that appear on talk shows or reality shows.Just about everyone one of them that appears on nationally syndicated TV shows seems to fit into the stereotypical gay man as an effiminate guy with a high pitched voice.

It drives me insane because I don't talk or behave like that.My partner doesn't talk or behave like that. Most of my gay friends don't talk or behave like that.I don't want to judge people and if guys are comfortabe being that way then I am happy for them. But when they are on TV I feel like America is seeing that and associating that with who I must be since I am gay.I want so bad to see gay guys get on TV and show America that we are not a stereotype. If anyone saw American Idol the other night during auditions in New York then you might recall the latest example of what I mean.
Where are the MEN?

Here is a quote that resonates with me:
"I still hear people say that I should not be talking about the rights of lesbian and gay people and I should stick to the issue of racial justice. But I hasten to remind them that Martin Luther King Jr. said, 'Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.'" "I appeal to everyone who believes in Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream to make room at the table of brother- and sisterhood for lesbian and gay people." -Coretta Scott King March 31, 1998

So, what quote resonates with you?

After reading a few "opinions" about this topic, does anyone relate to a Gay man, meaning he's attracted sexually to another man and that's where it ends? The acting straight part refers to behavior and other parts of his lifestyle.. It's not about how much you can lift, or about pretending to be someone you're not. It's about living and behaving like people that are heterosexual getting married, talking and dressing without being any different from the "stereotypical" queeny, femanine homosexual that labels the entire population. The one and only thing that has meaning in my life about "gay" is sex. Anything else I eat, dress, want, or do has nothing to relate with it. Kind of like "straight" people without being gay.

As people...regardless of their sexual preference?

Why is this basic philosophy so difficult for many to understand?

What do people gain by insulting others because of their sexual orientation, race or religion?

What do your parents / families teach you on the subject of RESPECT?

its in my mind I want aboyfriend ,but I want a girl friend, but i want a boyfriend and its becoming a problem to be honest I want to marry a man but the ideal of marrying a man scares or bothers me abit some times cause im afraid I will never get to expenice more with agirl then I have or that i will never get the chance to date a girl but I dont even know if i want to date a girl and i never meet bi women as far as i know and Im not brave enought to go to a gay/lesbain bar and Im afraid that if I dated a girl I wouldnt be able to get friends and that people in my family would judge me and I would feel weird but in a way being bi would make me happer. long while back I woke up a few mornings earated cause I wanted to be bisexual and felt like I wasnt . long time ago when I went to a doctor for something I told her I wanted to be bi but i knew she couldnt do anything about it but anyway she told me u must have some feelings about it to want to be so what did she mean by that

Okay so I'm 21 and I've recently been talking a lot to a guy who is two months shy of 18. He totally initiated it and is showing interest in me. We've discussed the age difference and it isn't an issue to either of us, and it's not illegal in our state - do you think that the age difference is too much for us to have a relationship?

I feel like if it was a guy and a girl, a lot of people would be weary of it. But don't you think its a little more normal for there to be a bigger age difference within the gay community? I just feel like it's far more difficult to find someone when you are dealing with a comparatively smaller pool of people (a lot of my friends are in relationships with similar or larger age differences)... how do you think this plays into it?
