Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands? ~Ernest Gaines
Everybody's journey is individual. If you fall in love with a boy, you fall in love with a boy. The fact that many Americans consider it a disease says more about them than it does about homosexuality. ~James Baldwin
Drag is when a man wears everything a lesbian won't. ~Author Unknown
But to me the best one was.....
Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself. ~Harvey Fierstein

Your Drucker quote is very neat, about how efficiency can in itself become a waste of time if pursued religiously. Can't come up with anything as good as Off My Med's Emerson quote, which should be cited every time the dismal science v religion debate rears its tired old head in this forum, so I merely offer this burst of spontaneous, life-affirming crap form Dorothy Parker : Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song, A medley of extemporanea; And love is a thing that can never go wrong; And I am Marie of Romania.

Not that it's directed at the GLBT community, but I personally draw strength from it anyway.

Fyodor Dostoyevsky;
A man who lies to himself, and believes his own lies, becomes unable to recognize truth, either in himself or in anyone else, and he ends up losing respect for himself and for others. When he has no respect for anyone, he can no longer love, and in him, he yields to his impulses, indulges in the lowest form of pleasure, and behaves in the end like an animal in satisfying his vices. And it all comes from lying to others and to yourself.

Although this quote is not specific to GLBT equality, it does speak to me about fighting for it:
"You can hunt me, you can beat me, you can spit on men, you can even kill me, but I will not be what you want me to be.....I shall be who I am, a free man" -- Steven Biko, anti-apartheid hero S.A.
