why is there a difference? I love my friends. I do not live with or have sex with my friends... but I do deeply love my friends. They are my chosen family...

Depends on the love. There's platonic love, like the love you have for your Grandma or your little sister or your best friend, etc, where it's the emotion of just caring about someone deeply; maybe putting their needs/feelings before your own. Then there's romantic love where it is (or at least should be) all of that plus a physical/sexual attraction. It's the difference between loving someone and being "in love".

U may have made a typo there's an i after the n not an e.. The difference between Love and friendship is one can like a friend. U don't have to love a friend to have a friend! Love is Love.
U can like love or U could be like the devil and
Love to Hate Love! Your choice.. Love is Love Like is Like

'LOVE' can be many different things, from 'sexual attraction' to simply caring so deeply about another person that you would die for him/her. Friendship can also be many different things ... I have many 'casual friends' whom I see 'from time to time' ... but I have my BEST FRIEND who is also my HUSBAND, and I love him in 'two ways' ... as my friend, and as my 'lover' ... and to me, that is having THE BEST of both love and friendship.

SEX. I don't have sex with my friends. Getting a good look at my friends you'd understand why. Plus I never care who my friends sleep with. My lover, thats different. I told him if he ever cheats on me make sure the other guy is cute. Because when I'm finished kicking his *** I want a piece of what he thought was worth getting a *** kicking for.

Universal, not uneversal. Love involves romantic feelings and a desire to have a family with someone you recognize as a companion or soul mate.
