Gay men who play it straight in the sack - that either makes them bisexual or in denial.
Bi-folk have a responsibility to be open with their partners as to what they are. I am - it saves any later aggravation.
Gay men in denial. Unfortunately, gays are still somewhat stigmatised by society and so there will be those who delude themselves into thinking they are straight in order not to have to bear that stigma. They may have no sense of remorse because they can't see beyond their own self-inflicted mental/emotional torture (not sure about physical, though).
It does cause damage to more than just themselves though as it can harm both their partner and any children they may have together. Who would want to live with a (worst case) self-obsessed, self-pitying, depressive?

So many gay men play the str8 role for many reasons. Sad but true. We still live in the age of conformity and prejudice (such as your, "remorse and resposibility" manifesto). But it is your resposibility to act accordingly, whether as a friend, relative, or passer-by. Their "lifestyle", as you have so admitted, is THIER lifestyle. And quite frankly, the only resposibility this person has is telling you the truth. However you decide the level of impact that particular truth has on your SEPERATE life is YOUR own choice. A choice that seems to have too much consequence on your time my friend. Leave this person be, the semantics of relationships aside...move the hell on. This has no to little relevancy to YOU. It only sucks if you let it!!!

It's more about being in denial or being afraid to 'come out'. American (and many other countries) society has placed a standard on everyone for as long as any living person can remember.. One of these standards is to be straight, grow up in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex, marry them and eventually have children. Some people are so brainwashed by this standard that they want it to be true for themselves (regardless of their actual sexuality).. Or feel they need to live it out anyway, to please their family/friends and everyone around them. Gay people don't just "pretend" to be straight. If people were more open about homosexuality, this wouldn't even exist..

Oh hell...
Whats' everywhere?
You have nothing against what?
Are you mad because you had sex with a guy who you later found out was gay? Are you mentally and physically damaged because of this?
Sorry you had a bad experience....I guess.

How do you tell you Dad your gay or even you mom? Family morals, it's not easy so they just live a lie instead and secretly hide behind the curtains.
