Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - July 2006

I have a hard time pointing out people that are GLBT. If I see a guy who is a little on the effiminate side, I give him the "benifet of the doubt" and just think he's sensitive. This is going to casue trouble when I try to date. There is this one guy that I like but I can't tell if he's gay or not becuase you can't always rely on how masculine or girly the person is and I don't want to just go up to him and ask "So are you gay?", especially if I find out he's straight!

Well. It all started a few weeks ago. There's this hot guy that goes to my school and which I really fancy but I don't know if he's straight, gay or bi. I mean he doesn't look gay but I really wish he was lol, How am I supposed to find out if he is gay or not, if he likes me or not? Is there any way to find out when a person is gay or not? I know this might sound stupid lol but I really like him... What do you all guys do when you fancy someoe and you don't if he is gay.

Today it was reported that a leaflet has been circulated throughout Israel in regards to World Pride 2006. It reads "Death to Sodomites" and encourages the murder of gays and also shows how to make molotov cocktails to throw at participants. Orthodox Jews appear to be responsible. How should we react? Should we not only condemn this provocation but also immidiately boycott all Israeli products and travel? What should mainstream Israelis do or say? I would like to hear from Jews both in and out of Israel. This is a serious concern especially given the treatment of Jews by others both in the past and currently. You would think they (meaning those who approve of this) would know better. It was not only Jews in camps.

It never ceases to amaze me that we are told to be "open minded", given labels and yet lifestyles and agendas are being forced upon us. Our children are being taught in the Public school sector "tolerance" to left wing propaganda and are not being taught religion. I am not refering to doctrine, I am specifically addressing religion. If the liberal can advance his/her agenda why should Christians, Buddists, Muslims, Satanists etc. be denied an equal opportunity?

av recently been told that there don't seem to be many women of this description who do find a decent girlfriend, and am talking about myself here. stigma and lack of understanding seem to have stymied me and other schizophrenic lesbians i know, and my heart problem makes me anxious not to travel, and very tired. how many lesbians like this do you know have formed healthy relationships with a significant other? av tried every avenue, and nothing works, lol. i suppose the logical answer would be for us schizophrenic lesbians to pair off, only there is the issue of compatibility. come on people, give us some hope, or at least help me fight the stigmas/stigmata.

..that what I'm gonna do is the right choice? I wanna go abroad with my gf, who I trully love, for a year or something. we didn't get into the uni we wanted to study at (in other city) so the only way of being together is going somewhere quite far away from here. going abroad for job for a year.. or sth like that.. but when I do it.. I'll lose something and it's my mom. there won't be any possibility of coming back (to talk about my mom; my dad is ok with this all). and I'm so afraid that something will go wrong, that I won't spend the rest of my life with my gf and then.. if something goes wrong between us two, then I'll destroy (torture) myself psychically, because I won't have eother my mom nor my gf. and my mom will be like 'I was right, I told you to leave her..etc'. Im 22 and this is my first relationship. I love this guy to death but there are problems. Hes very condescending and gets a kick out of being an *ss in a passive aggressive manner. Ive brought it up before and of course he explained everything away and acted like I just have stupid ideas in my head. The problems stopped for a while but little things have been coming back and it seems to be getting worse again. Im going to bring it up again tomorrow, but hes just going to try to convince me that im scizophrenic or picky. I know people fight but I find what he does very disrespectful. It doesnt happen every day that Im with him, but he wont hesitate to ruin a fun and happy day with some rude comment. The fact that the problem has been solved for a small amount of time proves that he knows what he is doing wrong. I have different theorys of why he acts like this. Maybe it makes him feel powerful and in control. Also his father acts the same way towards him.

i was outed by my cousin, to my mom. when my mom asked me if i was a lesbian, and i said 'yes', she went and told my dad(i wasn't privy to the conversation), and came back n told me that my dad had said i had to get out, bc he didn't want that kind of influence on my little brother. and she said she told him that 'no, no matter what she is, she's still our daughter, and she's staying'. my dad, when asked, claimed that my mom had been the one that said i had to leave, and that he had said that i could stay at home. both my parents are devout southern baptists, and very anti-gay, so i don't know who to believe. which side sounds more plausable?
