I don't think you understand what the word respect means.
I don't have respect for anybody who hasn't earned it or has been placed in a position of authority over me. Even then sometimes I don't have any respect for them.
Respect isn't something you just have for an unknown group of people.
It's ok to like gay people, enjoy the company of gay people, or have great affinity for the gay people that you know, but to claim you have respect for gay people is strange.
I have enormous respect for some of the gay people I know. I don't respect strangers because they are gay.
Thank you for your well intended compliment, but give respect where respect is due... not just because.

I respect all people to a certain degree in that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Some people I respect a great deal, because they have earned that kind of respect. I have met gay people I respect a lot and others that I don't. I do recognize that as being gay, they have experienced difficulties in life that I can't relate to. But that can only take them so far on the matter of respect.

I don't know about that, Its kinda hard to have respect for people who strut around on parade floats in speedos and mustaches blowing whistles and waving rainbow flags. I don't see any redeemable qualities or family values in this kind of behavior.Gays our society's degenerates. America is caught up in this whole politically correct agenda, where the worse thing you can be in this country in (offensive) People are so scared they might say the or do the wrong thing, Instead of saying what the mean and doing whats right even if means (offending) a group or groups of people. To answer your question The Gays are not respectable.Maybe if they stayed in the closet and try to act civilized in stead of making a spectacle of them selves, its really upsetting to see them acting gay and showing man to man affection in public when I'm with my wife and son. Gays have been their own worst enemy since the beginning of time...

Yes, I have tons of respect because being a young gay myself, I respect gays because even though we are called rude names, we still don't let it affect us and we just live our lives achieving success and changing the way people think. So tons of respect.

Yes I do respect gay people not because I am one but because they are people and as individuals deserve to be respected. ones sexual orientation is ones own choice and hence all people must be respected for what they are.

I have respect for them. I think being gay is wrong, but I know God will take care of that in the end and so it is not my place right now to disrepect or treat them unfairly.

It varies from person to person, just like with heteros. However, as a whole I do have respect, seeing as how they are active participants in a society that doesn't view them as worthy of basic human rights.
