Why are WOMEN so sensitive, emotional and defensive?

I'm only defensive if someone starts in on me about "unnatural" this and "abomination" that. Sensitive and emotional? While I do think you're stereotyping just a bit, I think there might be grain of truth here. Gay men, right away, don't fit society's definitions of how people, and specifically men, are supposed to behave. Once you've gone through the often long and painful process of realizing that "Y'know what? Screw society, this is who I am", you have the freedom to question a lot more things that society just assumes. You're not held as captive to societal definitions of gender, which I think might answer your question. In fact, the better question is "Why aren't straight men so sensitive and emotional?". The answer is gender conditioning. As such, there may very well be a higher percentage of "sensitive, emotional men" that are gay as opposed to straight, but that's a far cry from "all gay men are sensitive and emotional".

Well my saddle faced friend you got 2 out of 3 right , that's about 66%, do you believe in the power of numbers? They DO have power , you know! Anyway gay men are very sensitive and they are emotional. Defensive? Nope sorry, but we have a blender for you in the back. But thank you for playing my little sun dried tomato!

because that is the way it is. like any other human. regardless of orientation. sensitivity, defensiveness and strong emotions arise from situations that made gay people act and feel that way. sometimes we find happiness. sometimes we dont, but continue to search for it. sometimes we got hurt, we fall in love with a wrong person, or at a wrong time. and this strengthen our emotions, and we become sensitive, sometimes defensive, we tried to protect our heart because we dont want to get hurt again. which is true to all humans.

Some are born that way and can be aggravated by a lifetime of persecution, even at childhood. Everyone craves acceptance and approval. They are no exception.

When you are attacked and bashed long enough, the trauma it has caused would have changed you to a more sensitive, emotional and inevitably defensive person.

You say that like there's something wrong with being sensitive or emotional.

at least in America, I can understand why they would be, since your often seen as being hated by parents, breaking up families, and the reason that America is going to fall and be cursed to burn forever in the fiery pits of hell....but to more directly answer your question, all men can be those things, I just think that society makes it a lot easier for them to come out and be more direct with those feelings, and they're defensive for the above reasons, simply because we make them feel that way by our culture (though someone will bring up how our views on them are changing, a simple look at the conservative believes will help to back me up)
