Does anyone ever feel that any str8 people who know you're gay are two faced? They speak normally to your face yet when they are with their own they start talking cr@p about you and your lifestyle.

Of course some do (possibly even many). It's not nice but what to do? They may accept you as a person but they don't have to accept your sexual orientation, which these types will see as a perversion.

Those that go one step further and are nasty about you and your personality, deserve your pity - that their shallow little lives should be filled with such cowardly hate...

Yes I have felt this way, esp at work. We have a pretty laid back atmosphere, we joke and are very casual with each other. At least once a day they make some "funny" remark about my being gay. These things got old about a year ago but I just smile and try to dish out some teasing of my own.
Though they tease and joke around me I do wonder what they have to say when I am not around.
eh, who cares?

Why do you limit the question to Straight / Gay? I have found that most people, given the opportunity, are two faced about individuals and groups...one of the nicer sides of being human, I suppose. And why in the world would you give a damn??? I am the first to let my straight friends have it in one way or another when they get out of line...but I usually do it in a funny way that makes them laugh while licking their wounds. Good luck

I know for a fact some of the people are, but I don't encounter them on any personal level, so whatever. My friend's mom is super-jehovah's witness. From a rural congregation to boot. Her issues with me, though, are far dwarfed by the crap my friend has to put up with, so I'm just trying to be there for her. I'll be civil, but no promises beyond that.

Yep.. My so called X best friend lol use to talk about me behind my back to other friends.. she would say stupid things like "I have known jade for 12 years and she never told me about these feelings she has had" (I had just started dating my girlfriend and had been with only men before.. if I had the feelings I wasnt aware of them lol) and she also said "I shared a bed with her" BECAUSE YOUR GONNA CATCH IT for gods sake.. what is with people! I always have in the back of my mind that my female friends will think Im trying to move in on them etc.. Only because its the general misconception with homosexuals.. straight ppl think we hit on everything that moves..

yes i always feel that way. i can relate to the question. i am in love with a straight guy. and i know that behind my back he hated me. but that is just the way it is. each person is the love of somebody else's life. but there are straight people that are accepting and understanding. i think it really depends on the person.

There are good people and there are bad people, regardless of orientation.

Anyone that will speak one way to your face and another behind your back is a coward.

It depends on the straight. People are people.

Be virtuous and kind to all. Refuse to gossip. If anyone speaks ill of you then no one will want to participate in the discussion or they will defend you in your absence. If people see that you don't talk about others, they won't want to talk about you.

it's very possible. blacks and other minorities face the same thing, often. It's probably peer pressure they can't have the internal gumption to oppose their friends - afraid of rejection. Just keep being friends with them. Don't reject them. Try to forgive them.
