According to a report I read on Yahoo! News, a woman was verbally and physically attacked for being gay. (read the report here - http://tv.yahoo.com/show/38481/news/urn:newsml:tv.ap.org:20070912:top_chef_beating__ER )
Now my question is, how do you feel about this? How do you think the people attacking Josie Smith-Malave should be delt with? Would you considder this a hate crime? And if you were there when someone was being attacked for being gay, would you step in and defend them?
I would defend them, because there is no need for this. I think the attackers should be treated the same way others would if they were attacking someone for their race. Everyone has their own lifestyles to live, and it is not your place to step in on SOMEONE ELSE'S life and try to do something about it. If it doesn't concern you, don't bother. Thanks for your answers.
