I am in the program, However, starting to read about the 4th and 5th step has given me doubts about this. To go and tell everyone you hurt that you are sorry and do a moral inventory is not my idea of recovery, I guess i just do not understand this... Should not steps be to better yourself and better your lifeinstead of being hard on yourself as the big book suggests in the "how it works" section?If you find a higher power shouldnt the book suggest a loving god as we know him who does not want us to be hard on ourself?

I would think that with having a birthmark for my entire 39 years of my life, I would get used to the idea of being asked about it but I guess I haven't yet... The question came up just yesterday twice with the childern at my sons new pre school. It is fairly easy to explain to inquesitive innocent 4 year old even though I try to wear makeup so that my face shows no sign of the evidence. However, its not as easy when it comes from a source trying to offer coverup solutions that they think will help my cause while I am shopping for toothpaste at a local Target. I have had someone come up to me and say they think the have a product that will help. I had not asked for help and generly am able to search for myself if I desire so. I once was asked at Halloween time in a fabric store if I was allready wearing my costume by a teanage boy... Anyone else have simmular expierences? How do you deal with all those that can't seem to deal with anything that is a bit more than average?

Why do girls like guys.?When I go out,I normally see guys staring at me. Why cant girls stare at me? I stare at girls but they think its wierd. Okay, so I went out today... And there were like tons of guys staring at me. And i felt sick cuz its rude to stare. Why cant women stare at me?At least 1 woman...What if the whole world was upside down? What if guys went out with guys? What if girls went out with girls. What if the guy and girl thing didn't exist. What if all people went out with their own sex/gender? Okay,so what would happen. If they are in fact truely gay, how do they get aroused to women? And, no - not bi-sexual men. i am asking about gay men - men like Gov, McGreevy.

I'm sorry to say, but this lends ot the arguement that gay is a choice and fuels anti-gay groups.

Do you remember this cute simple story and it's message, I
recall the first time I head it in grade school! Do you think it should be a must to be read in schools of today?
I found an old copy several years ago and read it to each of my grand children. I read it still some times for my own enjoyment.

The never-ending debate over proper classification needs to end. Please tell all of us clueless Caucasian, Asian, Mexican, etc folk what term you prefer to be classified as! We are tired of guessing and taking the heat for terms that are ever changing with the times.
