Do you remember this cute simple story and it's message, I
recall the first time I head it in grade school! Do you think it should be a must to be read in schools of today?
I found an old copy several years ago and read it to each of my grand children. I read it still some times for my own enjoyment.

Hey, somewhere out there are the Issues Police - whose clammy grip has possibly prevented "Little Red Hen" from being a standard in classrooms anymore....here's why:

"Little..." - may wound the self-esteem of kids who haven't had a growth spurt recently and are shorter than their classmates.

"Red"...has a bad connotation that readers of Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly might identify as a subliminal signal.

"Hen"...blatantly sexist; she even wears an apron! Substitute words might include "chicken", "poultry person", "feathered individual". Lose the apron, OK?

Thanks for your attention, we plan to deconstruct "Chicken Little" for our next presentation...the petitions are starting to come in about Henny-Penny already!
