If they are in fact truely gay, how do they get aroused to women? And, no - not bi-sexual men. i am asking about gay men - men like Gov, McGreevy.
I'm sorry to say, but this lends ot the arguement that gay is a choice and fuels anti-gay groups.
P.S. I'm a gay guy.

I've always wondered this to. Im in a similar situation, and its scarying me. I mean wanting to do something in your mind, is completely different from your bodies reaction physically to it.

First, i think most gay guys and straight guys, are bi-sexual to some degree... you "identify" ( which is what some people call "choose" ) as gay... when you are with a woman ( doing your best to make the right wing happy ) and all you can think about is her hot brother... and theres no emotion in it... ( with the woman )
... the second layer to this is that men ...much more so than woman... can be "turned on" almost clinically... meaning... feed him a drink...rub it....and it's ready for business... especially at a young age when the guy is used to his own hand... any warm body is a new thrill... the fact that he CAN function is a source of a lot of heartache and confusion... "if i can get it up with a woman...i can't be "gay" right?" .... wrong.... it boils down to much more than just the physical, clinical act of sex...( which is where the right wing gets off the bus )... it's a consistent, unwavering, all day...all night... never ending physical, emotional and spiritual pull towards members of the same sex...
... last point...
when i was married... i functioned... my desire wasn't really there... but the love that i felt allowed it to work....to some degree... i DIDN'T feel the urge to do any of the OTHER things that go with TRULY being with the correct gender... where you walk up behind them while they're making dinner...and nuzzle into their neck... or put your arm around them while you watch T.V... or just constantly want to kiss them... that didn't exist... "it was give me friction...when can i go to bed... "... and that's of course not fair to the girl....
ok..REALLY last point... when i was with a woman...i CONSTANTLY thought about men... now that i'm happily coupled with my boyfriend ( and for 7yrs) the thought of a woman has never crossed my mind...

Interesting concept. I come from an Arab country where Homosexuality is considered a crime. Men and women are pressured everyday to get married . Such an arrangement can solve a lot of social problems for gay men and women.

Well I was married to a man for about 7 years and he knew i was gay, he didn't want to believe it nor let go. There wasn't any sex for 6 of the 7 years we were married and i was with a woman the most of the time. he did nothing for me sexually and i didn't try to hide it at all. I guess it can work if the other people don't want to let go of what they once had.

Okay, did it ever occur to you that he was advised to marry a woman to be taken really seriously in the game of politics? If you haven't noticed as far as gay rights go equal opportunity employment an a lot of careers is a big joke.
