Yes, most people just don't take it seriously so it's rarely ever heard about. Men in these situtations hide their abuse because they fear that police or other people will laugh at them and not help. It's a double standard.

U.S. society seems to accept women acting violently towards men, and men are expected to just sit there passively and not do anything, because many people are brainwashed to believe women are morally superior to men and that she's somehow always right and justified.
The argument is that a woman cannot hurt a man as bad as a man can hurt a woman, however.....There was a certain film that came out a year or two ago, about a woman who had superpowers. She began dating a regular guy. He decides to end the relationship, and she stalks him very, very dangerously. Even though she could kill him easily, it was still considered a comedy. I'm sure many people know what this movie is. If Superman were stalking Lois Lane, it would be considered disturbing. Men are considered expendable brutes.

I feel sure there are just as there are battered parents of very young children. A weaker person can batter the strong person who won't fight back.

there are battered wives right? why does abuse have to only be about women? Men can get abused, raped, just like a woman can, but its just not that talked about because society holds men at a different standard, and men wont talk about it because of the ridicule they may receive from their "manly" male counter parts.

Yes, of course! I think they are more mentally then physically. But I am sure there are both kinds. So come on men, crawl out of the rocks and speak out now and we will be taking care of you (Nicely)!

of course. I think it is a topic not much people talk about. I have seen neighbors (women) who shout and ridicule their husbands.
Abuse towards men is more common than what we think.
