Whats the most positive decision you ever made?

Do you buy to last, and make every scrap of food count.

I cringe when I see good food thrown away, this happens on TV a lot, or perfectly good furniture dumped on a whim.

I don't think it's just an age thing, I know a few over 60's who are 'throwaways'.

Has the way you were brought up had any influence on the way you are now or is it circumstances, or part of your character.

Egypt was believed to have been a colony of Kush in antiquity.
They (the Ethiopians) say also that the Egyptians are colonists sent out by the Ethiopians, Osiris having been the leader of the colony... And the larger part of the customs of the Egyptians are, they hold, Ethiopian...
Diodorus Siculus, Ancient Greek Historian. The idea of a pharaoh (king) may have come down the Nile from Nubia to Egypt (and) that would make Nubian civilization the ancestor of Egypt. The first settlements in Egypt are in Upper Egypt where the black descendents of the ancients still live today if you dont believe go and visit southern Egypt. The Southern Kingdom, Upper Egypt, was clearly conceived as the dominant of the two regions. It was from the south that the most enduring influences in Egyptian society came and without doubt most of its greatest leaders were southerners too. The ancient Egyptians originated from the south not the north.

I lost my partner of 16 years about 2 years ago (sudden heart attack at 48), and I still miss him terribly at times. I have just turned 40, and I know there is still a lot of life ahead of me, but sometimes finding someone good is just SO hard!

His name was Bill. He was 10 years my senior. It was 1989, I was 21, and I had just come to the States to work in a national park, and that is where we met. I really had no interest in meeting someone and falling in love at that time. He was a big burly man who loved musical theatre, road a motorcycle, and pursued me. I think I eventually fell for him one afternoon as I hugged him for dear life while riding a half-mile on the back of his motorcycle. We went back to his cabin, and he was a perfect gentleman to me. I spent the summer by his side, and decided to take a chance on love and followed him to California at summer's end. He supported me as I pursued my passion, photography. We had 16 wonderful years together. I miss him so.

A. Sub-sahara Africans (black people)

B. Australian Aboriginies (natives of Australia)

C. Native Americans (also known as American Indians)

It would have to be one of these 3...so which one do you think...I think the Native Americas would be a little less because of what the Incas and Mayas had did.

Okay, I have accepted the fact that I am gay, yet I sort of have a problem. I feel attracted to people my age (15), and yet, sometimes I will feel attracted to older men that are like 18-23(or around those ages), and I feel like there is something wrong with me, I mean, I don't feel attracted to men that are like 30 or 40 or or late twenties or over that. However, for some reason I feel attracted to teenagers, and young adult men. Basically I am attracted to 15-23(or around 23) year old males. Is this bad, or normal or what? I feel so confused.

because i feel a lot of ignorance here an this site. and mostly coming from the "African Americans". It is sad. I can't know what is right and realize that every one or "white man" is out to get me? Why do you call us "Uncle Toms" (i refuse to read that book). Or a "sellout" because i realize the faults in African American society? And i am black still doing it?

I have told him that I want to go out with my friends but he does not like it. And when he does let me go I feel guilty.......Do you think that I shouldnt feel bad when I leave him home alone? If I do leave him home alone my days goes bad......But I just want time to myself...... I want to be able to go and not think about it......

I have never had any experiences with a girl before. I've thought about it, i've maybe wanted to try it, but i've never been with a girl in any way. I look at girls alot though, and i think about them, but can i still consider myself bisexual even though i've never been with one?

I have read so many question regarding Asian women and one girl just wrote about her jealousies of them. Most of the replys were "because Asian women are submissive" or "men don't want American women anymore." Has anyone ever thought about Asian women that ARE Americans? I have a couple friends who are Asian American..and they act exactly as an American would. American does NOT equal white..and it's a pity to see that many people still think that. I am wondering why when someone says "Asian woman" people automatically assume the Asian isn't American...

I believe that every person on this earth should be treated equally. I know that this isn't realistic.

I'm scared to say this and let others know this, incase they take it the wrong way and think I'm being racist.

We should all be accepted as a person, not by the race we are from.

Am I OK to believe this?

I had a dream the other night and now I can't get it out of my head. All the little girls were dressed in spring dresses, you know the kind christian girls wear for easter. It looked like they were going to get blessed or something.

i am writing a novel, in which one of my characters is a guy who uses a wheelchair. i'm finding there are a lot of things about this experience that i don't know much about. examples include:

what conditions might compel someone to use a wheelchair?

what are some typical obsticles he might face, even today in america, with ada & all? for instance, i wonder how he deals with going to a person's house, if the house has steps leading to the front door?

what about greater transportation, ie, riding in a car, taxi, or bus? do these things present additional difficulties?

if he has use of his arms, is it still possible for him to swim or even drive a car?

and, (sacrificig tact) among the different causes of wheelchair use, what, if any, would be the limitations on sex? could he get excited, have feeling, have an erection, have some movement in his hips, perhaps, and ejaculate?

i am hoping especially to hear from people with personal experience from disabilities.
