Okay, I have accepted the fact that I am gay, yet I sort of have a problem. I feel attracted to people my age (15), and yet, sometimes I will feel attracted to older men that are like 18-23(or around those ages), and I feel like there is something wrong with me, I mean, I don't feel attracted to men that are like 30 or 40 or or late twenties or over that. However, for some reason I feel attracted to teenagers, and young adult men. Basically I am attracted to 15-23(or around 23) year old males. Is this bad, or normal or what? I feel so confused.

When I was 14 and 15 I was attracted (well, smitten, actually) to this one girl who was 16 and 17 (I was a freshman/sophomore, she was a junior/senior, respectively). After I began working at CVS at 16, I developed *huge* crushes on the lead pharmacy tech (she was 26) and my absolute favorite customer (she was around 26-27). Now that I'm 17, I still have those crushes, and it's pathetic, but I can't help it! So yeah. I like women who are 10 years my senior--a DECADE older than I am, man! Think about that! But y'know what? Who cares? I mean, there's this one girl who's my age who I have a major crush on, but it's still not nearly as strong as my crush on this one customer, so...yeah.

You and I are both jailbait, so we can't rightly *do* anything with anyone much older than ourselves unless they were willing to risk statutory charges for us, so yeah. A crush here, an attraction there. Who's getting hurt from those? No one!
You're fine, man.

Take care, now!

That's not abnormal at all. A lot of people have age ranges of people they find attractive of quite a few years. And think of how many couples have large age differences! I know that it's not as common at your age, but look at a lot of older couples... my parents, for one, are 10 and a half years apart, and they started dating when my mother was 18.

You don't really control who you're attracted to. I'm 20, and I tend to be attracted to people around 18-28. There are a few others who don't fit in that particular range on either side, but for the most part, it's just who I'm drawn to. It's totally normal.

What is wrong with that? So what if you are attracted to a wide range of ages? And it's not really even that wide.

I'm sixteen, and I'm attracted to anyone from fifteen to late thirties. Doesn't mean I act on any of my attractions. Wait, it could be older than thirties because I do have a thing for Hugh Laurie, but whatever.

Even if I did act on my desires for older men and women it wouldn't make me feel like I have a problem. Where I live it's perfectly legal anyway.

So I don't understand why you are confused.

Oh of course not! Simply being attracted to someone older than you isn't bad, it's only when both parties decide to 'get together'. It's common to feel attracted to people older than you (when you're young) because sometimes people your own age can just be... well, stupid.

Don't feel too bad.

Of course it's normal. You can't help who you are attracted to. Some people only date older people. Other people only date younger people. Just take precaution when the age difference causes legal issues.

Dont feel confused.. if you know that your gay and are liking guys around your age thats fine.. and being gay isnt a bad thing and liking people your own age isnt bad either.. and yes it is normal to have feelings for people your age and its normal to be gay.

I was attracted to people up to the age of 30 when I was 15. I'm heterosexual, but I don't think that matters. You're post-pubescent, I'm guessing, so the age range that you find physically appealing is in no way abnormal.

It is normal, just like straight guys your age are not attracted women who are in their 30's or 40's you are not either. Don't worry about it. You are absolutely normal.

Dah-ling...of COURSE you're confused, you're 15 and your predisposition due to your gender is to like women. Now your mind is saying something totally different and it's throwing a monkeywrench into your whole system. Take it from a professional "fag hag": worry less about who you like and why, and start worrying about you defining yourself as who you are first. Let the rest come later.
