I'm white i have three BFF's one was bron in Tibet (she is Buddist) one is a african Christian, one is in my church (she was born here but is from Ireland) and one is Jewish.
I couldn't care less what colour skin they had or what religon they are. Why do other people?

i asked the same thing and everyone said something stupid because they didnt want to tell the truth, ignore the racist they are dirt you walk on and have nothing to do. You just raise your little brother right so that he knows that there are far more people that will love him. black white asian mexican, than those who just want to put him down because they could'nt acomplish something and or are damged or just was not raised appropriatly. You give him that love!!

You have all sorts of people in the world. What best can be done is if you do not subscribe to their views, ignore them. Confronting may not help as it is too widespread and most people who are unaffected by racial discrimination do not give it a damn.

Because racism has been such all common practice ever since people from different nations have come to America in search for a better life. Also, people tend to fear reject things that are different.

Having friends from different backgrounds is good - you will learn more, adapt easier when you travel (you wont feel wound-up at all the 'foreigners' everywhere..) and the more friends the better. Good luck.

My first wife was part black (grandfather) and we'd get jazzed sometimes when we held hands in public. She said no one did that when she was by herself, just when we were together.
Most people are decent, it's just the vocal few that makes it seem worse.
