The sad thing is that many blacks assume that other blacks are "Uncle Toms" simply because they have opinions that are different from theirs. They don't stop to think that they are being just as racist as any other racist and that they are feeding into the old "divide and conquer" method that has been used by white racists for a long time.
It's totally ignorant to call a black person an "Uncle Tom" unless you know with 100% certainty that the individual has somehow betrayed black people. And disagreeing with others is NOT betrayal. You don't have to fit some kind of "black mold".

I don't feel one way or another about black republicans.
They prob call you unc Tom b/c uncle Toms act like puppets. I don't know if you do or not, but that's the reason. The funny thing is that no matter how much you assimilate into white society you will still be considered black.
Someone pointed out Condolezza...she's an extremely intelligent PERSON, yet they still pointed her out b/c she was black!
Yes, there are faults in the black society, most black ppl know that, but what good does it do that society when another black person joins in with the oppression of their own race?
I'm no racist, but I abhor hate. If there is a prob with AA society, address it, take action...don't stand at the podium looking down on it, standing next to bigotry, prejudice, and fear.

The problem with Black Republicans is, there aren't enough of them. Both parties are shady to say the least, but Democrats have this unwritten hold over blacks and other minorities which almost obligates us to become one. Republicans on the other hand act as if you must have a certain sophistication to be one of them. Truth about being a Democrat, its not soley for the poor or lessor to two evils. Truth, Republicans are not all rich or accomplished in life.
Bottom line, its all politics and regardless to whom I register with, I ultimately vote for the person that is telling me what I want to hear. In order to spark change you must be on the inside and if we all stay on the outside(Democratic Party) the old mind sets will remain the same. Anything in balance which is not the way it is which is a shame.

here is a thought. Wouldn't Black people have more political power of they, instead of all blindly voting for one party, they acted as a swing vote. Supporting whichever party had their interest at heart.
I am conservative on a lot of issues, but I haven't taken the republican plunge yet. Im still pretty non-partisan.

More than Likely, they have made it, and are Wealthy,(but not always), and have Chosen to Forget their Past-Experience's, as the Poor-White-Majority-Folks have done by Joining the GOP---"Greedy-ol'-Politicians"!

Of course you are black if you think differently. What are you supposed to act or think like? Is there some cookie cutter behavior you should go by?
People like Alan Keyes, Jesse Peterson, Condoleezza Rice and others are good decent people who are not blinded by hatered or racism, if fact, they combat it constantly and are great examples for children.
The group that you speak of, the Liberal blacks, don't have a thinking bone in their bodies.
