should I tell my mom that I'm gay if she is a devoted christian? I know that she might not take it that bad but I am afraid that she will tell my stepfather. He is completely against the lgbt community. I am afraid that if he finds out, he will tell everyone else in my family and they won't accept me. What should I do?

after you've come out to your family members, you find no support, only abuse, tears and threats? how and where do you find a happy and healthy relationship?

right now, the only option seems to be
a. praying, hoping for a change within myself
b. marry a girl, pretend to be normal
c. celibate, and not involve myself in any relationships

why don't you just get a life and leave other people alone nobody care about your ignorant remarks, that is so old how would you feel if every 5 minutes someone black put those jokes about whites, I mean really though open up your eyes this is 2006 where blacks and whites are now allowed to date so what your gonna do now cause you can't stop it. I'm currently doing a research on Transgender people, and I was wondering if any of you knew where I can find abundant professional information about the transgender community. Like the physcological challenges they have to go through. Or more precisely related to cultures. Like is it more accepted in certain cultures to be transgender? In what country is it easier to be transgender? We all know that from discrimiation transgenders are forced to be prostitutes, know anybody that has a good job within society being transgender? Anybody care to relate or know websites that I can find stories on challenges that people faced while making this change? Any info will help.

Im sorry to any of you gays out here tonight,but until two people of the same sex can create an offspring of there DNA im against gay marriage.Because if the whole world turned gay,who would be around to reproduce? Alcoholics Anonymous is about abstaining from the use of drugs. Alcohol is a drug... If alcohol is an addictive drug and AAers profess to be clean from drugs and addiction, why then do they profusely all smoke cigarettes before and after their cult like meetings? I am a "new comer" and wish to be accepted. I said that I believe in their god. Should I start smoking cigarettes too? Do I have to love Clancy as well?

I grew up in a small town. About 10,000 in habitants. In this town we had many different peoples and cultures. Among us we had a smattering of Jews. As a group these Jews were probably the most respected of all. Why? Because they were hard-working, helpful, intelligent, tolerant and generally an example to the others. When I got older I went to high school in a bigger city where there a small group of Jews too. I became close friends with one of them and I can honestly say that he taught me many good things. Gentle things. Not in a sissy way, but in a manly way. (He died in his twenties of multiple schlerosis, which was NOT FAIR) One thing I remember very clearly is that he once took on three of the 'school bullies' single-handedly, and after a battle that Rambo could not win, beat the living sh*t out of them.
Then I went to university in a big city, and there they were. More gentle, cultured, nice, honest people.

I'm really confused as to why so many so-called straight people come into this posting and have so much negativity to say toward another's lifestyle. They had to actually find this area and then they read everyone's questions and respond rudely. My question is, why? It seems to me that they are more interested or infatuated and want to know more.

Seriously, they come in here, they tell us that we chose this life and that we weren't born this way. I'd like to know how they know such a thing? Was there a point in everyone's life where the straight bus stopped and we all just forgot to get on? With all the research out there pointing towards genes and biological factors, the only arguement they can come up with is it's a sin. Well ya know what, not everyone believes in god or the bible, so why do they feel the need to cram it in our face?

The bible also tells them not to judge and to love thy fellow man. Apparently they missed that part because they were so focused on the part that talked about homosexuals. And as far as I knew, the bible only speaks of homosexuality as being wrong in the pretense of sexual misconduct, not being wrong between two loving consenting adults.

So I ask, how do the bible thumpers have more expertise on gayness then gay people do? Unless they're just deeply closeted?
