i have bunch of used stuffed animals that i finnaly grew out of!!! i dont want to have a garage sale cause i dont want to sell them... i also want to help needy children but when i asked my mom she said no shelter or hospital would take them cause there is no way to sterlize them so.... can any one help???

Hey, im 14,15 in November, and looking for charities to volenteer to. I dont mind what doing or any amount of time. I have looked on the internet but they all seem to have a minimum age limit i dont fit it in to. Im from Cumbria but im looking for a more national charity,like Scope or something, but they too have an age limit. Any ideas? Thanks x

I am very interested to do the Peace Corp, however I think two years would be much too long for me. Does anyone know of an organization where I could volunteer abroad for about a year?? My daughter just wants to be a Girl Scout SOOO bad. She is an excellent student and well behaved at school.

First we signed the permission slip for info last year when it was given, sent it in. Then we received NOTHING except another letter from the local Girl Scouts asking us if we wanted info on it. We sent that in. We watched all year as our daughter's friends talked about how much they love being in Girl Scouts! Our daughter's heart was broken. We called the teacher; we found out which scout leader we had to speak with, we left messages (kind, low key ones, not anxious or bitchy ones) asking for info on this and how to get her in. We received nothing. We then called the regional office? and were told it was up to the scout master and that if there were "too many" she might be rejected and have to go to another troop. That person said she would take care of it and send in the info needed to get our daughter started in Girl Scouts. Said she would send the info to

I love volunteering and need to get back into it. However, I work and am in school fulltime, so I don't have a ton of freetime. I usually volunteer at old age homes (I have a therapy dog) or our zoo which are not the best places for me to meet people my own age. I am 30 and single and would love to find a way to combine my love of volunteering with socializing because I don't have time for both. I love animals and kids. I live in the Chicago area and I am completely clueless as to what to do. I don't want to do something that has already been done or unoriginal. I am of Indian descent and I wanted to do something that would benefit the Indian/Hindu community. However, that has proved to be a difficult task, and at this point I am up for almost anything. (Just as long as it's not an extremely simple task.) me and my boyfriend were sentenced to community sentencing for pot and firearms. the crimes carried a 20 to life sentence. we were given 8 years community sentencing. it,s been approxmently 6 months and we are doing well, my boyfriend has completly quit smoking marijuana for the first time in 20 years he recieved a clean ua. i just want to thank the judge for taking a chance on us and that we are very thankful for her decision in our case.
