Right now you are at that age which makes it tricky to volunteer. You may need your parents permission to do even the littlest thing. This is because most places need people to be able to do a lot of things that younger people can't do. I'm not saying you can't but that might not be the case with the place that you want to volunteer at. You could try your local library, your church (if you have one), a historical society (if your town has one). The list goes on and on it's just finding something that is important to you and going with it. If it isn't important to you then you may not have the ambition to continue with it. That's another thing that may organizations look for, people staying with it. I hope that this helps.

try an old age home or a chlildren's home.u're still 12 rather go and volunteer at a old age home and get the satsfaction of helping some one older and who depended on someone else for help or just spend a day at a children's home and talk to someone ure age who doesn't have the advantages of a good family life and let them know that u are there for them.

I started volunteering at a hospital when I was 13. It was fun to sort and deliver mail and flowers to the patients. I can't remember if you were allowed to volunteer at 12, but you might want to try your local hospital.

Good luck and have fun volunteering!

Try a local library, or maybe look into pre schools & elementary level tutoring at schools in the neighborhood. Other options (that would require you, or a friend, to provide the parental supervision) are park/beach/neighborhood cleanups...and even book/canned food drives are great!

A film festival, a museum, the SPCA.

Volunteer work does not have to be depressing.
