i have bunch of used stuffed animals that i finnaly grew out of!!! i dont want to have a garage sale cause i dont want to sell them... i also want to help needy children but when i asked my mom she said no shelter or hospital would take them cause there is no way to sterlize them so.... can any one help???

try your local police department, or social workers, many times when there are times when children need to be removed from their home, police officers or social workers will carry stuffed animals in their trunk to give to the children for a bit of comfort in such a crazy situation.

it's a lovely thought but your mom is right. no charities i know of will except used stuffed animals. you might try a church day care.

go to freecycle.com and navigate to the new york place then give it to them
