when i start to think about the real reason for our christian mass to which we celebrate his birth, then look around and see such meaness and hate to wards mankind,I wonder what a waste of a good person...and all he did was teach love and to care about each other...i get choked listening to carols..

I'm curious... What happens when the atheists have personal conflict and can not solve their own "problem" (being that you can't fix the "problem" with the "problem") and no person can fix the "problem." When people of faith turn to God, who do atheists turn to?? I had problems I've had to turn to God for and a miracle happens.

Sounds like God is blackmailing me... he KNOWS well that I don't want to go to hell so that's his sick little way of making me love him. Quite sadistic isn't it... how many christians "love" god because they're scared of going to hell? If I had people I would give them a chance to love me without saying "Oh by the way if you don't love me, you're going to be tortured forever". How many people would still love God if nothing was in it for themselves, ie. non-believers still go to heaven.

Since most Christians believe that non christians will go to hell, do Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc also believe that not believing what they believe constitutes eternal damnation (or their religious equivalent) for others?

My mom helped my kids make Christmas pillows for their teachers for Christmas (like the kind you would put on a couch). The kids put a lot of hard work into them, and I would like to let the teachers know that they aren't just store bought Christmas pillows that the kids actually put love and effort into them. I would like to attach the poem to the pillow. Whoever's poem gets used gets the best answer.

Why then u r not allowed to wear shirt skirts or at least not to cover YOUR head when YOU visit their countries? So, they dont respect your cultures, means, and it is ok with you? :)

didn't really get much of a christian response last time i asked this question:

what could you tell me about the people who painted the da vinci's mona lisa, dali's vertigo, van gogh's starry night, or picasso's femme à la montre? would you be able to come to the conclusion that there was only one painter who painted all of them? would you be able to tell me why any of the artists painted any of them? could you tell me anything about any of their life's details? no. this is why i don't jive with this whole watchmaker analogy. how is it people can come to so many conclusions about a creator of the universe, if such a being does exist, just based on the fact that universe exists? it's one thing to say that there must be a creator. it's a whole other ball of wax though to assume that you know anything about who that creator is, if there is only one creator at all, and to assume you know what that creator thinks or wants. that, to me, seems more arrogant than anything. don't you think?

I heard on the news today, that a penny postcard, featuring a colored drawing of Santa & a young girl, was late being delivered. Would you believe "93" year's late? The card was mailed in 1914 but it's journey was slower than Christmas. It just arrived in NW Kansas. The card was dated Dec. 23, 1914 & addressed to Ethel Martin of Oberlin, Kansas, from her cousin in Alma, Nebraska. Ninety three years later, the card ended up with Bernice Martin, sister-in-law, of the now deceased, Ethel Martin, to whom the card was addressed. The card was placed inside another envelope with modern postage, for the trip to Oberlin, Kansas. Wherever it was, it was in perfect shape. Any ideas where it's been all these years?

Why cant people just strive to be unbiased, and unjudgement and concentrate on improving themselves and the world, rather than judgemental, degrading comments? Where is the ethics? Why dont people do their part and stand their group against people that act unethically despite how large the group is? We should concentrate on kindness, self-improvement, ethics, & happiness. We should help everyone in an unbiased manner. Why dont people understand that in order for them to be happy everyone around them must be happy? Happiness cannot be achieved alone? Why must we always react in anger?
