I know that celebrities are always goin to have a big impression on todays youth!! But do you think that their impression is to great?? i know that cases of anorexia and bulimia are spiralling out of control but can all this really be blamed on todays sensation with celebrities!! Do you know any stories of where a celebrities impression and a young person has caused harm?? just interested

I was cooking my eggs & cheese & put on some music. I thought the blues station would play gospel. An old blues song came on with the lyrics, What's the use of getting sober if you gotta get drunk again?
I thought what foolishness. Then I realized I didn"t know the answer. So Yahoo answers people. Do you have an answer?

and met them in person and still are close friends after many years?

I met people in person and we have remaid friends fsince 1998, we have visited each other, stayed at each others house and laughed so hard, that I actually pulled a muscle in my back from laughing with them. They are grande and wonderful people. Have you had that experience?

Okay, at first I was an atheist. However, now I am beggining to believe in the idea of god. I mean if life can exist and all of this other stuff (I am not saying god created life or "other stuff," but im starting to believe he did) Why cant god exist? Ive been an atheist for a long time, also I have been "Pretending" to worship satan for the fun of it. Which I wish I never did. Do you think God will still accept me since I used to not believe in him and pretended to worship Satan?No spamming please, saying God is fake will be considered spam. Thank you :)!

I was reflecting back to the recent passing of D. James Kennedy and I decided to re-read his book "Why I believe". He writes nearly 140 pages of reasons why he was a Christian other than the facts of what the Bible says. I am asking you to state, other than what you read in the Bible, why you believe in Jesus Christ.

For me it is partly do to my family upbringing. I was taught about God, Jesus Christ as a Child and was always taken to church. I made it a life long choice on my own to be a follower of Christ because He gives me hope. Some believe in karma or luck in life I believe I am being controlled by the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe in the greater good of society and I believe that having the spirit of Jesus in me helps me contribute to the greater good of society.

why is it that when american actors/actresses play english people, they are always portrayed as either really posh and speaking the queen's english, a cockney or an uneducated farmer?we are not all like that, and its not fair!!!

My family is atheist. I'm 18 yrs old & im thinking of taking up Christianity but i have one slight problem..

I have honestly never read one page of a bible before, i don't know anything about the religion AT ALL. All those famous names mean nothing to me, i literally know nothing of it except that there is a god and that jesus is his son and i watched passion of the christ..

Does this not make any attempts of taking up religion futile? Would people in the church be understanding and patient or would they just laugh?

Some people have been going to church for their whole lives, me NEVER. That's like expecting an uneducated, illiterate guy off the street to go straight into his freshman college year and actually know what to do.

If you actually try to read it, you'll agree that even a 2-year old with sane mind will not believe in these things...on the plus side it is more entertaining than 'jeepers creepers' or 'saw2'

what is the difference between european and american chocolate? I have heard that american chocolate is bitter and more like dark chocolate. I have trid hersces peanut butter cups, but the emphasis sees to be on peanut and the chocolate is dissapointing as in oreos.Do you have cadburys or aero's, kit-kats, ferrero rocher or guylan belgian truffles? see pics?

could it be simply that the real context of the supposedly immutable word of God is simply the current mores of the society it is read in?
