There's some critical mistakes about the LDS Conference Center in wikipedia. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lds_conference_center ). In the part of the "Feature", it states "While essentially Modernist in architecture, the Conference Center has a distinctly Pre-Columbian appearance. This reflects both the church's increasingly Latin American composition--from the mid-1990s onward, the majority of the church's membership has been from countries outside the United States, dominated by Mexico, Central America, and South America--and the now-prevalent belief that the events of the Book of Mormon took place in Central America." Most of all, most members are from the United States, not outside. Also, I was stunned when I got to the part that Conference Center's design was influenced by members from Latin American cultural sphere. I know that church is fair to every member from all parts of world, not depending one from which cultural background he or she has.

My sister told me that she has a regular band playing constantly in her ear. I do recall, before I lost some hearing in my left ear, the sound of Big Ben bonging in my ear day and night, and then it stopped on its on. Now I hear in my left ear the sound of a xylophone being played.

Is it the establishment of laws to protect all religions (or lacks thereof) without promoting one over another?

Or is it completely eliminating religion where the government is concerned?

As most men have some sort of religious perspective on life, and freedom of religion is supposedly a right we all have, it seems to me that the separation of church and state should involve the protection of all religions, rather than their eradication from public life. It is possible for the government to acknowledge spirituality in general without creating strife among the religions. Today's version of separation of church and state does nothing but stir up antagonism between atheists and religious people, the way I see it. What do y'all think?

Sometimes when I see how torn the world has become and how evil men have taken over our culture the only consolation is a comforting scripture from the Book of Mormon or Joseph Smith's many words of wisdom during his tribulation and challenges on Earth. Please provide your favorite inspirational message.

you know, i get SO pissed off how stupid some peoplecan get. like i try not to be rude about it but seriously i cant stand it whne people ask me for the simplest things on msn when they can search it on google or wikipedia. i tell them they should search google because they will give u a better answer and they always go like, "but what do i search" "im too lazy can you just give me the link?" <-- like wtf. it drives me NUTS how so many people i know only use the computer for games and when it comes to fixing problems like viruses, they just leave it cus they dont know how to download softwares that scan their comps. like u know what they do? they are never aware of the stuff they download or the stuff they click. they cant tell how malicious the stuff they come across are. when they ask me for help and i send them the link and everything they STILL dont get it. they ask wheres the download button? how do i set it up?? .... This has worked in several other churches over the past 20-30 years. Why not ours? Women are smart enough to play a role in the priesthood.

I have a new roommate that is Chinese. He just moved in this past week and his lip-smacking while eating is distracting. I was on the other side of the apartment and thought he was eating carrots when in fact he was eating soup. From what I can tell (Google/Yahoo searches), it seems to be a cultural thing. If he were american I would feel comfortable telling him that he eats like a horse, but since this is a cultural thing I don't know how to tell him.

So what is the best way to tell him to eat quieter?
