Sometimes when I see how torn the world has become and how evil men have taken over our culture the only consolation is a comforting scripture from the Book of Mormon or Joseph Smith's many words of wisdom during his tribulation and challenges on Earth. Please provide your favorite inspirational message.

I'd have to agree with Shorty - 1 Ne. 3:7.
Also, 2nd Ne. 9:21 21 And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam.
Ether 12:4 4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.
Moroni 10: 3-5 3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your chearts.

That says in a nutshell why we are here. And it answered the question for me when I was asking myself a few years ago, "Why am I here."

Thou fool, that shall say: A Bible, we have got a Bible, and we need no more Bible. Have ye obtained a Bible save it were by the Jews?
Know ye not that there are more nations than one? Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created all men, and that I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea; and that I rule in the heavens above and in the earth beneath; and I bring forth my word unto the children of men, yea, even upon all the nations of the earth?

It would have to be the part in 3 Nephi where God teaches that if the black people truly repent, that their skin will turn white.
After that, it is the anachronisms (steel sword, compass, windows etc. appearing before they are invented.)

My favorite one is when Ammon chops off the heads and arms of the band of guys that comes to steal the King's sheep. It always reminds me that the BOM is rated R, if not NC-17.
