Whoa, this can not be this important. Relax go outside visit friends and family.
GOD either is or not here depends on who you are. Many do not believe there is a GOD.
I believe that GOD is - so to believe that I also believe GOD was here from the begining of time, and will be here till the end of time. (As GOD created time.) I have no evidence - sorry.
It could be tied to our human mental growth, as now GOD had been waiting for humanity to mature, once we had GOD started explaining more and more. India, China, Egypt, wherever -then GOD picked a people to translate the ideas directly, and these people are the Jewish people, finally GOD sent Jesus as a face to face to explain the concepts again clearer - it looked bad as so few undestood. Then GOD sent the Holy Spirit and things changed quickly after that.
So no one created GOD, humans matured to comprehend GOD, and was rewarded.
How was he just there? - I do not know. A hard science answer or a biological answer is impossible.
I would put this question on the back burner or forget it all together, and live your life, as it does not help or hurt your choices in believing or not if GOD is real. When you see miracles you'll know GOD was there, when bad things happen due to the laws (gravity, weather, etc.) GOD made our planet with, GOD will be there too helping people.
Focus on being there for your family and friends. Your community, by extension you'll be helping the world. GOD will never hurt you - you must be informed to make wise choices as you grow.
You are not a puppet. GOD does not want puppets or robots. You are totally free thinking, which is why a person choices is so important. And why those that can't handle their choices try and blame society, or anyone but themselves. Keep education a priority so you can not be cheated of your full power being a human. Don't give authority to just anyone, except those that have earned your trust. Question adults and make them prove their statements. If they can - keep them close. If the can't prove their statements drop them and don't regret not being in their company.
I mean it's a good question, but it's more important to believe in yourself, and educate yourself, than wonder about GOD like this.

Hi Satine.
I saw the other questions you've asked recently. You're trying to figure out what to think about God.
That's something you won't figure out in just one day.
And this question here, well that's not a good place to start. It's too "deep." It is a good question, but save that one for later.
There are a couple of basic ways in which to understand what God is. You can find some different types of answer in, for example: a study of Christianity/Judaism, Buddhism, New Age, Spiritualism, Unity church,Paganism, and even nowadays Quantum Physics to name a few.
Personally, my latest insights into the nature of who created who are found in the book "Seth Speaks".
But in the final assessment, my understanding is that God is not the "one" who created the universe (all the "stuff" of the universe) but He is the "one" who created all the "souls" which inhabit this playground we call the universe.

That is one of life's imponderables. To say God was created by man (as some of the comments below aver) raises the following question - who created man?). The only answer I believe is that God has always existed - if s/he ever was created then s/he created him/herself. At the end of the day we are only poor creations of some greater entity and will never know the answer to this. (Philosophers though may die trying...)

asssuming God created everything (which is what many theists believe) then He also created the laws of physics. therefore He had to have created them AFTER He came into existence, therefore there were none in place when He did. now, the universe spontaneously coming into existence is equally likely. therefore both the atheistic and theistic side both come down to the same thing: mere beliefe and nothing else, no logic, no evidence. just belief.
of course, this isn't necessarily correct. you can't equate humanly intelligence with Godly intelligence.

Hey,
If you want to download Mario Forever you can download it here for free: http://j.mp/1p0vNcT
Mario Forever is the restructured edition of the traditional arcade game Super Mario Bros. The gameplay is much like the same with the original Super Mario, in which you have to defeat the boss and bring the princess from his dungeon castle. In the last part of the stage is an evil dragon who is responsible for kidnapping the princess.
It's amazing.

God has no need to have been created, since He exist either outside of time or within multiple dimensions of time (such that there is no beginning of a plane of time). Hence God is eternal, having never been created. ~~Rich Deem

You have a lack of understanding of what "God" means. That's ok though none of us can truly understand God because if that were the case we would be god.
Let me help you by sharing something science knows. For anything to be here right now something had to be here before. Going back, that's right, into eternity something had to be here for an eternity. This is mind boggling, I know, but even atheists admit that as hard as it is to understand us being here and there be an eternity in the past, it is never-the-less a necessity that there had to be not only something going back for an eternity but some "Parent" substance which is eternal itself, that exists in and by itself and not dependent on any other element or substance for subsistence.
God is eternal and had neither beginning or ending. He is the "I Am"
As hard as it is to wrap your head around, you have to understand that something was here for eternity as the "Parent" substance. Why not believe that it is the one who says "I AM he that was dead and is alive forever more”?

God created all things including himself. It's easy to understand. Just think about a rope that is in a circle. It has no end or beginning. This is a concept of a God. There is no such thing as the Christian or Islamic god. God is special and caring.

If there wasn't a person to speak the name of God, would God still exist?
Probably, but He wouldn't be wearing a white robe, sporting a long white beard.
