I hope you mean in a pot of water on the kitchen stove. The it would like some have mentioned - cloves, cinnamon, sage, rosemary.

The answer to this is irrelevant, because you are putting your home and yourself at risk of a fire by trying this. If you insist on burning spices, do it on an outdoor grill. Or roast them on a cookie sheet in your oven.
