It does seem that way at times (sometimes it seems like most of the questions are stupid). But there are some valid reasons.
First of all, we like hanging out here, and it's our way of staying connected with the others on this forum. We love to see the sense of humor from others. Also, it's because we just can't come up with something truly interesting or we are too stressed or tired of the deep and/or nasty/controversial questions.

yes, and Y/A has guidelines stating where. They will tell you that Yahoo answers is a place to ask and answer questions; that the questions must be sincere- as must the answers. If people posed genuine questions and gave thoughtful, intelligent answers, fewer accounts would be removed

I must agree-- I don't mind answering a question that has some substance to it. But I must also admit that the ones that have Had well meaning questions get some really stupid answers. There are people out there that just ask stupid questions to see who they can upset . And the same goes for the stupid answers.

I've come to believe that many people do not read well or comprehend well what they post. Most of the questions on the R&S are inherently stupid , racist and rankist.

I've been noticing some silly questions pertaining to religion even ones that should be basic common knowledge and not need questioned. I have no idea maybe it has something to do with it being Sunday..
