Why does everybody forget St.Georges day. I'm not Irish so St.Patricks day is nothing to me, but its the only one that gets made a big fuss of!!!

we live in an aprtment building and my husband is constantly having to go outside and tell kids to be quiet if they're going to play in front of people's homes (one kid even muttered profanity at my husband as he was walking away)....i love kids and understand that playing is important, but these kids scream at the top of their lungs...once my husband even caught some small children banging on our a/c unit with rocks......why don't parents watch their children?? do they not care about them, i mean these unsupervised children could meet any number of unsavory fates..?? do these people have absolutely no respect for others? what's the deal??

I used to be in a les relationship but my ex-gf broke up with me in Jan. I still love her and recently a few weeks before Valentine's Day she came up with this game called 'Gift Exchange' where she encouraged classmates including me (we're in the same class) to participate. The game is played by buying a gift for the opp sex and on 14 feb there'll be a lucky draw to decide which girl or boy will give the present to the other partner. The thing is that i wanted to give her a gift coz i think that on Valentine's Day you buy a gift for someone you love and i still love her. So should i buy a her gift to tell her that i still and really love and want her back?

I don't know whether there's a God or not. Nobody does, no matter what they say. I think it's perfectly possible to explain how the universe came about without bringing God into it, but I don't know everything, and there may well be a God somewhere, hiding away.

Actually, if he is keeping out of sight, it's because he's ashamed of his followers and all the cruelty and ignorance they're responsible for promoting in his name. If I were him, I'd want nothing to do with them.

I was just wondering if Buddhist monasteries in far eastern countries (either in an urban or far-removed context) allow white western europeans to become monks with them as you see in Hollywood sometimes, or whether they look upon you as odd unless you hail from the same country?

This is of course providing the visitor was fully willing to learn, believe and become a monk in the fullest sense- and if they are accepted, are you a monk for life or can you leave if and when you please?

thanks to those who answered me so quickly but i am looking for a TEXT translator not just a dictionary. Bablefish is great but does not support turkish.
