Why would that bother you? Its an inability to accept what death is. Most people are scared to die, so they hope that there is something other than life here. Maybe if we all realized that we only get one shot people would live their lives better.

Unbelievers have no idea about that of which they speak.
They reject all the wisdom on the subject.

It does not bother me at all.
I remember when I was very young and sometimes upset by things people said, and I was told to 'consider the source'.
Since then I always consider the source.

How can a person that does not believe in heaven or hell know what it will be like in heaven or hell?

So they just say that there is nothing after death, but they cannot prove it, and that is the byword of the unbeliever, PROVE IT.

Reading some of the other answers, I have something to add.
Most Christians don't threaten unbelievers with hell, but when asked about what the Bible says they just quote the Bible which says that you must be born again to enter into the kingdom of heaven, and also says, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life'.
We are not condemning anyone to anywhere, just quoting the book we believe in.
If you cannot believe what the Bible says that is your thing.

At least you don't have to make any changes to your lifestyle to achieve it and there is no moral blackmail involved, we all end up the same way whatever our fantasies about death may entail.
It's my duty as a thinking atheist to disabuse you of the nonsense religion has pumped your brains full of, the truth matters.

As a born again Christian I tell the people of the gospel. The Crucifixion and the Resurrection and how Jesus will save them if they believe and ask Jesus to forgive their sins and let them make up their own minds. The harvest is ripe , So tell people your testimony.can you even start to imagine what a difference one person can make by leading one person to Jesus. They may become another Billy Graham and lead millions of people to Jesus

You've obviously chosen not to see all the posts of Christians threatening everyone who doesn't believe in their god with the non existent hell.

I don't threaten anyone. I just tell it how it is. If you believe it or don't, that's your problem.
