I live out of respect for all my ancestors who lived in the past and managed to transmit their genetic code down the line to me before they died, it is amazing to be alive given all the things that could have knocked out my line of descent over the milleniums...life is good and we are a long time in the grave , death comes soon enough why hasten it or miss out on this brief life worrying about the state of death, we are here to live ... there is only one alternative and we all achieve it eventually.

Meaning no disrespect, I think they live for themselves. This is not meant to be a snotty remark. But they do believe that mankind is the being most high, which makes each human the highest authority, spiritual and moral.

Live for life. You only have one shot at it. Why waste all your time being a slave to something you can't even prove will enlighten you after death and from where I stand it doesn't even enlighten you during life. We are lucky to be here, take full advantage of what you have today, don't wait to live to see what happens after death because most likely you waited to long.

Before I believed, I lived for the pursuit of pleasure and financial reward. And, I saw nothing wrong with this philosophy of living.

I've since discovered that those were all just cheap counterfeits for the riches I have in Christ.
