there is a connection between the Quran and life.

as you know we 1st are babies, child, teens, youth, adults, old. the period of time between babies to youth is long, then it keep speeding up, then during the old time life become very fast.

i noticed the same thing with the Quran, have you ever noticed the first chapters are little bit slower, then it starts to speed up in the middel of the Quran?
at the last pages of the Quran, you feel like u r running.

it's like this book is being created not just written.

When i was younger the barbies i played with taught little girls that you could be anything with a little confidience. The barbies now are telling girls that its better to be goodlooking and have nice clothes then to be smart and caring to others. What do you think about this? Do you think the mattle company has gone to far in exploting woman and telling little girls that all woman are "dumb blondes"?

It is so easy to bore people. The Bible doesn't have to be that way. It is up to preachers, teachers to make it understandable and relevant. And very important to meet peoples' needs. Also, it is easy just to "tickle their ears", the Bible says. In other words to deal with issues that are all fluff, interesting but, not really doctrinal. Or, to make the people the focal point instead of God the main emphasis. He is Lord! So, what do you suggest. It's not fair or right to bore people nor just to entertain, but to really instruct them on what God says in His Word. Help! I have been doing this for 25 years and still have trouble with this issue.

I don't get that. I Swear a lot. Its like second nature and I half the time I never even realize that I'm doing it. However I am very itelligent, graduated high school 4.0, and have been told by many that i am a smart person. The fact that I swear has no bearing on my education level so why do people say that? When I hear someone swearing, I certainly do not immediately think, "what a bafoon". They are just words....

There are two notions (at least) of Hell in the Bible. Two of them strike me as contradictory. Which version is the better one?

Some claim that the Old Testament version (Ecc. 9) is correct, as it portrays a more loving god. If you do not worship God, then you suffer no ill effects; you simply will die at the end of your life. If you do worship God, then you have everlasting life.

Some claim the New Testament version (Luke 16) is correct, as it is not fair for non-Christians to enjoy God's graces. They made their bed, so they deserve the punishment they get.

Which version would you rather believe? God's OT version or Jesus's NT version? Is there something that allows both versions to be reconciled?

i am asking this question because of the many wars on our continent due to the fact that some people feel they are superiors and their views should be more respected than others.
Some people also feel and the express such feelins towards others that their sort of work is more important than that of their friends.

If she didn't know she was pregnant, and continued living live as such- occasionally drinking with friends, continue to take her birth control, riding some giant scary rollercoasters that pregnant woman aren't supposed to ride, and a good 3-5 months pass without her knowing she was pregnant..... I'm assuming there'd be some chance that her baby would be deformed or damaged in some way? (I guess I could be wrong, though). Would an abortion be in her best interest? Would you be opposed to her having an abortion... explain your thinking.

And no... I'm not pregnant and none of this has ever happened to me, but I thought it would be an interesting conversation starter.
