More likely as an anthology, kind of like Readers Digest.

I personally feel it should be treated like a Book. This is mostly because when you read it all the way through, there is a definite continuation. If you want to compromise one could say it is a series. I don't feel all the books in my library are good selections, but I think that God is more powerful than any librarian, and guide people to have the right books included in the Bible.

I also know what the Council of Nicea was. No blank stare here. So I should probably mention that God inspiring people to use the power of discernment when it comes to the Bible, is Him directing what books are included, and which ones aren't. There are still a few discrepancies though, which is why the Catholic and Protestant Bibles are different.

The Bible is a plan for us. It is the map to loving one another, and bringing peace. It IS a book, but there is no other book that you can read that can change your life in the same way. And, no, I do not believe every book is a good book. I also do not believe that books should be burned but that each book contains it's own truth that we must sift through.

The Holy Bible, as used by the Christian community, is actually two collections of writings collected into a single cover.
The first collection is known as 'The Old Testament' and the second, 'The New Testament'.

to answer your first question the Bible is neither...it IS however a manual for how we will live here on earth...and for our way of leaving our physical bodies when we die...as far as your second question I cannot answer that because I have not read every single book in any library...so I would be inaccurate in stating either way....
