Some people claim to be enlightened, but how can you tell? It seems a lot of people can talk like they are, but the next thing you know they are asking for money, or sleeping with deciples etc.

How can you tell?

For example, SUVs is correct. Not SUV's. Also, "it's" means "it is." The possessive form is "its."

The Yahoo! police deleted this:

ATTENTION! ALIENS ARE COMING TO ABDUCT ALL THE GOOD LOOKING AND SEXY PEOPLE. YOU WILL BE SAFE. I'M JUST POSTING THIS TO SAY GOODBYE.

I guess they didn't want panic to spread throughout the entire earth.

Never mind that Da Vinci code for awhile. I mean the real Grail.

What is it to you? Is it a real cup. Is it a place you can go to in you're own mind, or a place you get to when you die?

I really value you're opinion. Thank you!

Rt. Rev. Michael Nazir Ali, Church of England’s only Asian bishop criticised British Muslims for promoting “victimhood” and pardoning the violent Islamic extremists. The bishop was born in Pakistan. His parents converted from Islam. He comments that the Islam in Britain in 1970 was “pietistic, Sufi orientated”

He also observed that Islam in the UK had changed dramatically by 1980. He blames fundamentalist Imams and [the Internet] for the changing face of Islam, which is increasingly tilting towards extremism. The immigrant Imams “complaint often boils down to the position that it is always right to intervene when Muslims are victims, as in Kosovo, and always wrong when the Muslims are oppressors or terrorists, as with the Taliban and in Iraq.”

Dr Nazir-Ali, 57, who attended a Roman Catholic school in Karachi, believes that Britain’s fundamental character derives from Christianity and opposes moves to dilute this by multiculturalism. Dr Nazir-Ali also said: “I can see nothing in Islam that prescribes the wearing of a full-face veil.”

Does the opinion of the bishop not carry weight as being born in Pakistan would have some sympathy with Islam?
He is a man of the cloth and is the Church’s acknowledged expert on Islam.

from the guy with the fixation on grandmothers, force, etc...?
I guess there is nothing that can be done but I cannot help but wonder what this dude's gig is? Is it just immaturity, a hunt for shock value and attention? Or is this dude really sick?

The irony is that I asked this same question earlier and due to my wording I got my first violation. It really was poorly worded so I understood why the question was deleted. Why can't the guy that keeps asking the sick questions get the boot though? Especially after the way he attacked Joni B the other day.

I would when I get older. I would want breast augmentation if they start to sag. Or maybe a butt implants. I think I would do it to fix myself up when I start to age. I don't think people should do it to look like a certain person.

If God merely made it possible and its up to us to exercise our "free will" to choose Him, then shouldn't we get some of the credit for our salvation?

I mean, sure we couldn't be saved without Jesus, but He couldn't save us without us, right? We had to cooperate with His grace, right?

If it takes such a cooperative effort, then we should get some of the credit. Is it not right to say, "Praise Me for being smart/spiritual/sensative/truth-seeking/humble enough to believe unto salvation"?

How can God get all the glory if He needs our cooperation to save us?

...and I'm not talking about leftovers from those holidays.

I cook. But I never cook any of that "traditional" stuff except for thse two days. I keep saying I would like to cook a turkey in July or just any other day, but for no reason. Of course I only live with my husband, so that much food would have to be shared in some way or another. I wonder how something like that would work out? I don't know about a whole, sit down, holiday dinner (on a non-holiday), but we always get together with people and eat, so why not do turkey? Is that wierd? Has anyone actually done anything like that, or am I the only one who hasn't?

I mean why cant you grasp that if you want to get to God then faith is required.

Is it as someone else said, that you have the idea that faith means abandoning reason and logic? Cuase it doesnt (at least with Christianity it doesnt)? God more than makes sense, but ya'll seem to alow yourselves to be decieved in thinking that there is no logic to God.

James 1:3-Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

If you wanna know about the mysteries of God then patience is a necessary charicteristic; you cant rush God.
