Never mind that Da Vinci code for awhile. I mean the real Grail.

What is it to you? Is it a real cup. Is it a place you can go to in you're own mind, or a place you get to when you die?

I really value you're opinion. Thank you!

the Grail is not the important thing but the quest is what is important. the journey one takes is one of self - discovery gaining wisdom and knowledge as well as a deeper reverence for ones Religious convictions. at least this was what I related to on my journey of discovery to become a Sir Knight.

The 'Holy Grail' is, essentially, a metaphor of the person seeking it. In other words, the search for the 'Grail' is the search for personal fullfillment. Just as the seeker is an empty vessel when they begin, so do they become 'filled' at the conclusion of their journey. No one cup or article could ever be 'the grail' for each person. What happened with Parcifal was that the 'grail' he found, because his inner self was given over to the service of others, became one which 'others' could drink from. In other words, he found the 'Holy Grail' because it was the 'grail' that would inspire others i.e. fulfill his desire. There have been other seekers of the 'Grail', but because their quests were more 'personal', their 'Grail' became personal. The quest is about the seeker, not about the object, for the object they seek reflects the person they are.

The holy grail is a hill in England. OR Its a myth for the cup but its supposedly the chalice that Jesus drank out of at the last supper. I believe there must be one real one but that no one knows where that is.

If it was really found, then there would have to have been some sort of written information about it. I strongly believe That the Holy Grail has been lost for all times. Never to be touched by human hands again. Or the Holy Grail is locked up in one of the vaults in the Vatican. For thousand of people were killed in their search for the Holy Grail............ Also when the Vatican came into existence thousand of more people were killed in the Vatican's search for the Holy Grail.............

I think the Jesus story got tangled up in the chalice stories of Britain. The chalice or cauldron was a vessel that provided endless food or youth or regeneration, even. The cup of Jesus sounds a lot like Celtic chalices, and the chalice stories may have been there even before Celts moved in (like, among Picts.)

I think the myth points more to Britain than the Holy Land.
