No scientist, or Darwin ever claimed that people evolved from monkeys. Why so many believe Darwin claimed that should first read his book before making a book report.
You're the first who believes that people evolved from monkeys. Have you ever considered putting all of your studies and learning about evolution into a book ?
The only reason people are living today is because they didn't die yesterday

Well if that theory is true, I guess all people might slowly disappear if we evolved into monkeys after 10 000 years.
I think most theories point the opposite way though, that monkeys will evolve into humans and that in 10 000 years monkeys may no longer exist as they could evolve into another homosapien like race.

I can't tell if you're just trying to be funny or not.
If not, you've got it backwards...generally the proposition is that if humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys living today--I don't know of two many people that claim that evolution happened the other way around.

It's barely debatable which evolved from the other or whether there was a common ancestor. Speciation occurs only in response to a major environmental change. But if the "parent" species is able to find a hospitable environment, it need not go extinct. In our case, that is apparently being taken care of right now. As the environment changes, the question will be, which species will survive, humans or monkeys, will there be a speciation event that will produce a newer, adapted species, or will we all go together when we go?

It continues to amaze me how little people understand evolution. Monkeys didn't evolve from people or vice-versa. As others have mentioned, we share a common ancestor. Image the trunk of a tree as the ancestor splitting into various branches symbolizing different species, such as monkeys, humans, and other transitional forms.

monkeys did not evolve from people and people didn't evolve from monkeys. The fossil record shows it. Evolution is wrong.

I don't think that "monkeys" evolved from people (homo Sapiens)
We both evolved from common ancestors, which are no longer around.

Good point. If intelligence supposidly evolved from stupidity, why is there still stupidity around today?
