It is my belief that many Atheist have doubts about their belief and therefore have to bash religions in order to bolster their own weak belief in Atheism. Then some just find bashing religion fun as religious people find it fun to bash us. What difference does that make we are all just having fun. I am an Atheist but I am a strong believer in the US Constitution which gives freedom of religion. I think everyone should be free to practice their religion and believe as they please as long as it doesn't prevent others from practicing theirs. God bless kisses Betty.

I don't know what you mean by being pig-faced. But I am atheist and I have alot of friends that are religous and go to church. People have the right to believe or not believe in what they want. The only thing I have a problem with is when people try to reform me.....I try to be polite and tell them to back off, but I have had to get rude in the past.

I find it hard to accept that a true Atheist would get involved in religion in a way that would demean themselves as it appears on this forum, Atheists and I mean true Atheists would not stoop so low, so I believe that the great majority of the slurs and anger comes from teenagers who are just full of hormones.

I'm doubting you're an Atheist...You can't even spell evolution, most atheists can. Of course it's possible that you spelled it with "evil" and "shun" on purpose because you see it as evil and shun the whole theory. So either you are a clever christian, or an unevolved atheist (hows that for tact?)

both sides are the same way. Most religion teaches to accept other people, however alot of the people in those religions don't. Same applies to Athiests. Yes, they should just accept it, however when you are being bashed don't you stand up for yourself?

See the problem is it becomes an endless cycle. 1 side bashes the other side -- the other side bashes back -- ect. ect.

If there is a god then the atheists who live like there is none will have to answer for it. Maybe they are not so sure about their beliefs.I know there is a god. I do not know his name. I would like to debate this with a moderate atheist. One who isn't full of hate and venom. Maybe we could both learn something.

Looking someone pig faced is not insulting someone but you. When you looking something, it also reflect to your mind. The unequal mind cause an unequal view. The action is to leading them in the right way or at less to cause them happier.

I'd guess they're offended by it or it has done some wrong to them in the past? I'm atheist myself and couldn't care less.

We are defending ourselves from the persecution from the religious nutcases who are tirelessly pushing the government to enact legislation to enforce their narrow religious views on people that do not share their beliefs.
