My sister and her boyfriend want a couples costume and instead of buying one. I came up with the idea to make her a bride and him a groom. Sister will be in a OLD birdes gown. She will have a rope around her neck with a gun in her hand. Her boyfriend will be in a OLD Suit. He will have a gun shot in his stomach with blood pouring out. I am having a party and I they are to be getting married soon in real life. I thought it was cleaver. Is it?

that goes .... "there are many paths to the same place"
they were speaking of the spiritual world or heaven to them.
why can't this be true of all religions? why can't there be more than one way to heaven? if your good your good and that ought to be enough. there is after all more than one way to get into hell.

Have they been mostly positive, entirely positive, fraught with misunderstandings? Has anyone's offer of assistance ever been turned down?

I am a secular Humanist whose Humanist Community regularly works with our local chapter of Habitat. We've had nothing but the best possible relationship with our neighbors of faith. Just wanted to know if this is true elsewhere.

(And, yes, I realize this might better belong in the Community Service forum.)

I'm in a really tight financial bond right now. My rent is sky high, daycare is killing my pockets, and I'm just going through so much. I allowed a young lady to move in with me about a year ago, she's my brother's ex-girlfriend, I was nothing but good to her, but in the end I'm the one that got stabbed in the back. (It's a long story) Anyhow, she moved out this morning, and now the portion of the rent she was paying, it falls back on me. I can't afford it guys.

Now, my question is I'm planning a wedding for September of '07. Instead of us waiting until September of 07 should we go ahead and get married now, and we move in together to save on expenses, or should I look for a cheaper apartment?

The reason I posted this question in religion is because we are born-again Christians, and I need some Holy advice. Thanks

This may sound racist, but don't care at this point. They come over here, take our jobs, call us racial slurs and take over our neighborhoods. They can have protest for equal rights here in the US, but they're too scared to protest in their own country. When will us as black people realize that Latino's have their own agenda that doesn't include us in it?

I know that there are a lot of people here who think that Satan is a real, living entity. However, I sort of wonder if he is a metaphor for our animal urges. Like it or not, we humans are animals. Animals have the urge to mate and they also have aggressive urges. Satan is supposed to make us do unacceptable things, especially those pertaining to sex or aggression. Since that's the case, doesn't it make sense to consider the possibility that Satan is a metaphor for our unacceptable thoughts and behaviors?

was killed in a car accident Sept 10, 2006- DUI. I hadnt seen him in 6 yrs, but spoke to him for the 1st time the day before he was killed-MYSPACE. I attended his viewing, but not his funeral(too personal) When I went to his viewing his parents were so excited to see me. His mom told me and my fiance that her son had such a crush onme growing up--somethingI never knew and kind of felt bad about-even though He did marry a pretty girl his age.Ever since he passed away, i keep having dreams about him. Nothingsexual or anything, but every now and again, he'll show up in my dreams. Today, I had adream about visitinghismom the day before the funeral-i never did that since i visited at the viewing. Why is it that I keep "dreaming" about him??? is it out of guilt for never being his gf 15 yrs ago??

I have a small group of pagan, wiccan, CUUPs, and new age friends and we would like to do a small Halloween ritual. I've been in rituals, but never designed one myself. We would like to take this opportunity to honor our ancestors and departed friends, as well as the final flourish of the earth before dying down for winter.

Anyone have any ideas of where to start? I've done Halloween rituals with sending messages up to loved ones by burning, but we're all novices at actually creating our own rituals.

down the street by hispanic or black men? I live in a predominately hispanic area and although I am in my 40's I am constantly bothered by these men when I walk down to the busstop or go to the store, etc. It is really annoying and a littlel scary since there is alot of crime in my area. Most of these men are unemployed, a lot of them illegal, and why they would think I would be interested in being picked up by any of them is a mystery to me. Even if I am wearing a long skirt and heavy tights and a sweater (very conservative) they bother me. One guy tried to solicate me the other night (he wanted to have sex with me in the alley, yuck!) It seems like i'm the only woman who has to deal with this. Moving isn't an option as I can't afford to move to the better area of town.

that we'll finally decide to listen to those who hate us so much to find out what their beef is? Do you think we'll ever look at ourselves deeply and honestly enough that we'll come to the place were we say, oops, sorry, we didn't think we were doing this or that. Do you suppose we might benefit from a little honest reflection? Do you suppose we might ever come to the place that we realize that our poop smells fairly poorly. Perhaps we'll realize that we perpetuate poverty in the world much more than we try to combat it? Perhaps we'll realize that we are more interested in supporting myth than truth? Perhaps we'll see how materialistic we are? Perhaps we'll see how we favor the few rich in other societies, carrying not about the poor? Perhaps we'll see how these things impact other countries, especially those in the middle east? Perhaps we'll see how our trickle-down world economics has effected the world? Probably not. Oh well, just thought I'd ask.

They say we should give two week notice so that they can find somebody to take our place, but I think they should give us two weeks notice before firing us so that we can make other arrangements, too What do you think?
