Why do so many christians interpret the bible differently? Couldn't a perfect god write an easy to understand book without all the confusion?

For example: A childs math book reads: 2+2=4. Then it shows 2 apples with a "+" beside 2 more apples with an "=" then it shows 4 apples together.

Any idiot, using any language known to man can understand this basic concept. Why is it that "man-made" books and instructions are so clear and "god's word" which is suppossed to be written by A PERFECT GOD is hard to read, hard to understand and its followers are divided into multiple different religions with completely different interpretations.

Southern babtists go for a litteral translation and believe you can't just accept j.c. to get to heaven but you have to follow the "narrow path", unlike catholics who believe you can get drunk and cheat on your wife as long as you go to confession.

My Barber is a Muslum, and that's fine with me, But he tells me that he reads the Bible, Quran and the Torah?(I don't know if the last one is correct or not) But he says that they ALL refer to the same "God", BUT with different beliefs. Do you think that this is true? If it is true, then Why can't ALL "Gods" agree"? I REAllllly need/want to know.

It is a pious gesture and it is just to say I know from ashes I was made and I know to ashes I will return. In many large cities many denominations walk around with ashes on their head it is wonderful. Just go to an Ash Wednesday service at a Catholic Church.

Faith is having confidence in something. Like having faith your chair will be there when you set down. I am a Christian, and when I look around me and see all the beautifull things I believe God created, babies, flowers, stars, the Sun, I believe it takes more faith not to believe in God then to believe. We see him everwhere. What do you think?

i was born in england and raised in scotland and i hate how this country is never britain anymore. unless scotland have a sucess such as the olympics then it was britain that won!!! england or britain always do well and scotland disappears, no wonder half the world think scotland is a city in england!!! rant over but seriously people we're meant to be a united kingdom!! and that includes the fab folks in northern ireland!! ps couldnt be bothered with capital letters so no pi** takin on that plz!!! rant really over this time!!

Like many words, there is more than one way to spell it. Either "donut" or "doughnut" is okay. Christians see things only one way. They have tunnel vision. They should try reading a dictionary, or a history book, or a science book. Forget about the Bible, "creationism," Noah's Ark, and such nonsense. I wonder if those Christians who told me I was wrong will apologize. They are too small to do so. I have proven them wrong before, and they never apologized.
