I think I may have a party. Last weekend I bought a bunch of pumpkins and gourds to decorate the apartment, and it looks really good. Now I want to have people over to enjoy it. Although come to think if it, the pumpkins will probably be bad by the time Halloween rolls around. I'll have to go out and buy more.
I want to have a theme for my party, beyond just the Halloween theme. Something like dead celebrities, or historical horrors. Maybe horror movies? Maybe the Nightmare Before Christmas...
I'm going to serve beer with a splash of blue curacao, which when mixed together turns green. Maybe I'll also make green martinis with vodka and midori. I should get some dry ice, too, to really create atmosphere. And I think I'll make a bunch of jack-o-lanterns from those little pumpkins. And light tons of candles.
Hey, now I'm getting psyched. Better go send out some evites.

I make a really scary pumpkin face, far better than any I have seen in US films like "Halloween". I'll have some sweets ready for any kids who knock at the door. This year I want to make some papier mache skeletons for the next day, as in Mexico's Day of the Dead. Other than that, it'll be a quiet night in.
However I'd really love to buy and watch the DVD of the BBC's legendary "Ghostwatch" spoof shown on Halloween in 1992, and starring Michael Parkinson, Craig Charles, Sarah Greene and Mike Smith. When I saw it back then, I knew it couldn't possibly be true, it was too unlikely that all that psychic action would be captured live, but boy was it scary! It's enough to make you want to sleep with the light on. I recommend it to anyone who has not seen it before.

I am going as the Swamp Thing, because I do not want anyone to recognize me...even the wife does not know what I will be dressing up as. I hope to knock on a few doors with some kids that are aware of what I am going as, they are truly amazing that they have not let the cat out of the bag. The Swamp Thing is one of my favourite Comic Strip Heroes.

I will be wearing my pyjamas, having a relaxing evening and staying away from all the spooky goings on as i feel it is a little scary and not for me.
