This is what my favorite pastor once told me when i was in high school, that everytime christ forgives a sin, he suffers as much as he did the first time he was crucified, died, and rose, ascended into hell, the whole nine yards--it's like he goes through it all over again every time he forgives a mortal of a sin. Shouldn't this motivate christians to be better people, or can the majority of them even handle looking at it this way, if they have to deal with that guilt?

It's an interesting question - we heard a sermon on sunday and part of it was that most American Christians are educated in what the bible teaches, yet they do not practice what they know to be true. They can debate you on intricate biblical issues, but they do not practice even the simplest points in their own life.

So what do you think - are you educated beyond your level of obedience? If so, can I have an example?

One that comes to mind for myself immedately is "pray without ceasing" - I know I don't do that, but how much peace of mind would I have if I never severed my connection with the Lord?

King Arthur was the shizzznitt! I always liked King Arthur ever since I was a kid and loved reading about Knights of the Round Table. He's my favorite warrior all time. I don't even read or watch movies like Alexander the Great, Troy, etc. Napoleon, Caesar, Sir Lancelot, etc. don't have nothing on my boy...King Arthur! Any King Arthur fans on the Yahoo Answers and is he your favorite warrior all time?

I post this question here because this catagory is where I get most of my giggles. I'm looking at questions in Pets and find some woman asking why her little female dog keeps humping her child's teddy bear. I answer: 'Cause you can't turn a ho into a housedog. Funny? I thought it was. But instead someone got all uptight about it and I got a decency violation. That in it self is funny. Anyway, my question is this: Who have you reported and why? Come on, fess up all you snitches. I swear, we wont be mad.

With all the beauty our species has discovered, science, art, music, litature and love. We are still capable of such terrible things. We still have a long way to go if we are to survive. We seem to be going in circles and we don't learn from our mistakes. All the conflicts we have fought has had their roots in religion and beliefs. And not one belief can be physically proven. So why do we put so much weight and energy to prove that one group is right and one is wrong.

I have been reading on this site, more and more athiests speaking up. The reason why so many are speaking out is we are trying to save our society. We know that all religions on our planet is simply a "mind virus" Something that inhibits believers from understand and accepting the truth on who we are and where we come from. A re-evaluation iof our most sacred beliefs is needed in order for us to survive. Let's stop hanging on to the ancient beliefs that most religions are based on.

I frequently have lucid dreams and have even had a few OBEs. What I want to know is if it is possible to bring others to lucidity with you? I mean can you dream of someone and in a sense share the dream with them. For example, can I dream of my boyfriend and share the dream with him bringing him to lucidity or will it just be my own dream with him in it or not aware of it? I wanted to experiment this by trying to dream of him then tell him to tell me something the next day to know if it worked. I don't know if that would scare him out of my dream. Any tips on sharing a dream?

this truth has made me a better person, and do you know why? because i am an orphan woman, and if god could have chosen a poor orphan child such as jesus to be the saviour of the human race, then i consider my orphan status to be a honor.
