I don't know about down south (in the U.S.) but I attend Davenport University which has a combination of in-seat and online classes. We have over 25 campuses all over Michigan and Northern Indiana.

I picked this school because it is designed for working adults, is fully accredited and has an excellent business curriculum. Compared to University of Phoenix which puts you on a track where you take a new class every few weeks with the same group of people, Davenport allows you to pick the number of classes and which classes you want each semester. I work with a counselor to make sure I will complete my degree requirements.

82 days until my degree is completed!!

Asbury - got kicked out, they don't party at Asbury.
Baldwin-Wallace - fee reduction. Looking back it was a wonderful experience that stimulated personal growth and active participation. Beautiful women, met my wife there.
Case Western Reserve University - OK school, over rated.
U of Kansas (Lawrence) a wonderful U, beautiful, women beautiful, landscape and geography beautiful, weather good, professors some of the best in the world.
Two sons attended Harvard, justifiable reputation as being rich kids school, both quit, one after one term, the other after five years and earning enough credits to graduate, just quit, didn't want the degree.
One son, Miami of Ohio, great school, one of best state schools, Eastern Campus is like small liberal arts college in a larger U.
One son, Ohio State - big and beautiful. OSU has it all.
One son and daughter-in-law want to U of Toledo, has become more than Bancroft High. Excellent local University.
Bowling Green State U- one son an academic advisor there - they play Ohio State in football but are a small town university. More women than men. Reputation for high rates of parties and STD's. Good academic offerings.

I don't know if Virginia counts as down south for you, but I am currently at Christopher Newport University and chose that school because of its size (5,000 students) and the living facilities (top notch) and the theater program (brand new Ferguson Center for the Arts completed fall 2004). The theater program now boasts over 150 students.

I attended the collage of hard knocks , because I made very dumb decisions as a young girl .
Got pregnant and married the literal bum . The rest was just a rough road to travel .
I still have no regrets , hard knocks made me the strong women I am today !

For me those are two different questions:
I went to KU, because pa made me, and I did not object much because he paid for it and it had a good computer and physics program at the time.

In "the south" I like NC state, and UNC for different reasons, but each has well rounded program. Georgia Tech is great for what it is, and for some reason I like Auburn.
