Why would they have to be cremated? Do you think for sanitary reasons? I have never heard that. During embalming, the blood and bodily fluids are disposed of in a sanitary manner, so I am not sure why a body would have to be cremated. You could check the state health department website for the state of the burial to find out.

They can have any type of burial they want. The virus doesn't live for long unless it's inside a living body.

AIDS needs to be transfer by bodily fluid from one host or another for it to be dangerous like sex, drug needles, stuff like that. Since embalmers are trained to handle things like this, I"m sure a normal funeral would be fine.
