There obsession with religion and living only for religion turned me off to religion when I was in my youth. The relgious people I had unfortunately encountered in my past were obsessed with their religion and were not pleasant to be around. They seemed dillusional and not very happy. I felt bad for the kids of these fanatics who had to endure such people. Have you had experiences like this?

I don't have an answer. But I thought of how many decisions we make now affect us for a long time to come.

It's like the older person you will (we hope) be is at the mercy of the relatively immature and ignorant person you are NOW!

I guess for myself i will have to say that I have not saved enough for my retirement, but i'm trying to make up for it now.

I have seen a a lot of people, Christians and non Christians alike on this site get angry when their positions are challanged or criticized, yet they have no qualms about making fun, criticizing or challenging other's beliefs. Isn't what's good for the goose good for the gander? or the pot calling the kettle black?

Christianity is a form of Judaism, you cannot debate this as the first Chistians were Jews who believed in Christ the messiah.
So why is there such a great divide between the two faiths? They have a common base but different interpretations.
Islam and Judaism do, i believe have a common base, hence the fact that Jerusalem is each respective faith's main holy city.

This in mind, how can Jews call Christians or Musilms infidels when they believe in the same god?

Coherent and specualtive answers welcome, single-minded religous propaganda is not.
I am not trying to promote one faith over another.

In an article titled "Christophobia: The elephant in the room," published in The Sierra Times, Marsha West writes
http://www.sierratimes.com/06/09/25/207_200_116_8_99098.htm

"Christian groups like the American Center for Law and Justice will work their tails off to get laws on the books that make it a hate crime to say anything derogatory about the Christian lifestyle, or to use the Lord’s name in vain. Mocking Jesus Christ in any way shape or form will require a public apology—or three—and may require jail time. Madonna could get life."

Think this will ever happen? Would you support such laws? Why? Why not?

Do you think people like Ms. West will ever understand how unreasonable and intolerant they are being?

Mormons and Catholics are the ONLY churches who proclaim to be true. The Pope recently stated, that they pretty much worshipped devils the other day. So i'll stick with the mormons.
What is your opinion on this. There are only TWO "true" churches. Mormons are in the lead for the TRUTH!!!!

Something has been going on in my spirit but I'm not sure how to interpret it or who to help. In my dream I was in Charleston, SC at a shopping outlet; there was no one familiar with me but there were other shoppers around. Jesus raptured His people, we didn't see him but people just vanished. I was deeply saddned at the fact that I was left behind but I was more saddned that the children were left behind. I remember people screaming in complete agony not physical pain but a pain from the loss of a loved one. I was never afraid and I never felt that my connection to God was broken? I was so so sad when I woke up but again my sadness felt as if it were for someone else and not myself? Any suggestions as to what I was suppose to take from this dream?

Take these from Leviticus:

Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

and

Lev 20:18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness [...] and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

In other words, men shouldn't have sex with each other (says nothing about lesbians), and couples should not have sex while the woman is menstruating.

I understand Christ "fulfilled" much of the OT and wonder how we choose among what's left. These injunctions both concern private matters between consenting adults. Shouldn't Christians be as ferocious about couples having sex during menstruation as they are about homosexuality? Have any Christians committed this SIN? Why is one ignored and the other not? Can you explain why Y!A is not filled with Christians castigating heterosexuals who have sex during a period? Why do no preachers speak out against it? We never seem to hear about it.
