I have my own religion but I was just curious as to what other religions are based on? Who do you worship? Do you tithe or partake of a sacrament? Do woman and men hold high callings in the church and are they paid? What rules do your church have as far as values and what you can't participate in, ( menonites wear buns and dresses, penacostal woman don't cut their hair, Catholics what's the reason behind Mary statues not Jesus?) This is in no way shape or form meant to cut or degrade any religion. This is a question of my personal interest. Things are very important to certain religions and I would like to find out why. What is the significance behind it? Is it in the bible and where, or does your religion have other books you use also?

I think the only difference is that religion is backed by a lot of people, but insane people are insanse by themselves. Both the insane person and the religious person believe in something by faith. A burning bush talked to Moses... does that sound crazy to you? The water turned to blood in Egypt... crazy? From what we know of our world today, nothing has ever operated like the Bible says it does. No global floods, no magic, nothing supernatural. Btw, Christians, Muslims think they are right too if you didn't know that. They also have an ancient book (imagine that!) that they think is the truth. We should lock the religious up in mental asylums until they come to their senses.

Why do some, very few I do understand, black Americans feel that reparations is the right thing? No one has been enslaved today in America. If anything the black leaders have made things worse. Should I force the English for reparations for what has happened to the Irish, no.

It is a pass issue. Yes the legacy of the past still hangs around today but you cannot fix that problem by forcing other people who had nothing to do with it to pay you. I am referring those who actually believe in the very racist idea of reparations.

Hate is hate. It is wrong no matter who it is against. Stop hating and learn to overcome the past.

I always dream about the SAME highway in my dreams. At the first exit, there's a rundown shopping center to the left and a Shell gas station to the right. I even stop to get gas there in my dream sometimes. At the second exit, there's a shopping mall with a grocery story right next to it and across the street there's an unknown fast food restaurant and a Wendy's next to it. Sometimes, I get off on this exit to shop, get something to eat or both. Do you ever have dreams like this? Do you think these places actually exist in real life? I also dream of people I've never met, particularly this sexy Latino guy I've named Raphael..lol. I've dreamed of him since I was 15. I hope he's real. Have any of you had recurring dreams like or even one dream like this? What are your thoughts on what these dreams mean?

Nasal snuff - Dried, powdered tobacco that is "snuffed" lightly through the nose for a nicotine buzz. It is more popular in England and very rare here in the United States. Anyone have any good resources, experiences, comments?

--No, this is not just "smokeless tobacco" that is sometimes called snuff (moist), chew, or dip. It is dry and inhaled.--

I was driving behind a Toyota this past weekend when I saw that he had a ribbon with the slogan "We support our troops...". I was proud of this Christian American until I looked further down and it said "... for killing Children and innocent people". As a Christian I was flabbergasted that this ignoramus would have the audacity to use this symbol to promote his own hate and uneducated opinions!

I quickly honked at him, then tailgate with my truck. I yelled at him to pull over. Once he did, I got out and preceeded to educate him on our troops who dying for us in Iraq and Afghanistan! I told him Jesus would not appreciate his views.

They are being killed by those hateful barbarian so we have the freedom to do what we want and say what we want. He told me to "f * off" along with other hellish profanities and accused Christians as killers. He then drove off. I took down his license plate. Should I report him to the police for reckless driving or sue him for slander?

Does this make me a bad person? I have no problem with letting people make mistakes, if it will make me look better. I’ve come to the conclusion that to succeed in this world you do need to step on a few toes. Nothing is ever gained by just waiting. You need to actively take it, even if it’s another. Like how lions will steal, the cheetahs kill. Is it wrong that when I don’t know the answer, I don’t share it with others, when I know it could help? I’ve also come to the conclusion that I have very few morals and ethics left. When I become a biologist/psychologist, I plan to test on Humans, none of that Rat testing foolishness. That’s the only way to really see how it will affect another human. Is it wrong that I see other humans as creatures that can both help and be of use to me or hindrances that should be “moved” out of the way?
If someone else saw me as a hindrance, than I fully accept that person trying to “move” me out of his or her way. I will live and did by my creed.

Our culture teaches us to ask for Gods blessing upon a person who has just sneezed. Why is that, where did this
tradition begin. Is this just a Christian thing, or do other religions also ask their God's blessing upon sneezers?

When people see "Beyond Sunday Morning" as the name of a Christian ministry it may mean different things to different people. We are wondering specifically what the majority of people think when they see this name, and if it is indeed understood in the same way we mean for it to be taken.

Jesus gave us a model prayer in Matt 6:9. We pray to the Father, through Jesus...correct? Now, why do some Catholics use rosary beads to pray when Jesus told his desciples and apostles at Matt 6:7;
And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their (A)many words. (New American Standard Bible)

Then at Matthew 4:10; Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.

I see people praying using these beads, yet the scriptures contradict this type of praying and worship. Jesus' himself contradicts this, so if you're a Catholic, do you think that you should continue to do this?

Is the Islam religion of peace, and love? Is it the true religion as some say? Or is it the religion of Satan? Are radical Muslim believers being prasied for there acts? Why do they really believe that God wants them to perform these sadistic acts? If so than how can they be refering to the same God, because as a Christian I believe that Jesus was/is/and always be the SON of God. We live for God (Jesus) and we believe that He is our risen savior. God is Love and Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. If you know GOD you will know true love.
