I think the only difference is that religion is backed by a lot of people, but insane people are insanse by themselves. Both the insane person and the religious person believe in something by faith. A burning bush talked to Moses... does that sound crazy to you? The water turned to blood in Egypt... crazy? From what we know of our world today, nothing has ever operated like the Bible says it does. No global floods, no magic, nothing supernatural. Btw, Christians, Muslims think they are right too if you didn't know that. They also have an ancient book (imagine that!) that they think is the truth. We should lock the religious up in mental asylums until they come to their senses.

"When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion."

I don't know what is so crazy about someone believing in another power, instead of just popping out of no where, If all of us did believe in evolution, the world would not make any sense. Most people would commit suicide and feel like life does not have a freakin' purpose. everybody has problem the rich and the poor. NO matter how much money you have you still have problems. Life give all of us our share of happiness and sorrows, and no matter how much we evolve we will never be able to change that. If I did not somehow believe that when a loved one passes away that I would never see them again, I would just end it all. I don't know what is wrong with people believing in something better than this bestial cruelty that we have here on earth, I have hope for something better, and you don't. And that makes me happy. I migth die rich and happy and still have something good to look forward to, On the other hand you might die poor and miserable with nothing to look forward to. And by the way I'm not part of any religion.

Insanity is a legal term which means that an individual is not responsible for his actions due to mental disease or defect, in most U.S. states the yardstick is whether or not the defendant knew right from wrong. Religion is any belief system that includes at least one of the following: the belief in a soul or spirit; the belief in a Deity or higher power; the continuance of self after the death of the body. Since you haven't a clue what the words you are using mean, your argument is totally without merit. You might try taking some courses in English and Logic before you post again, not to mention investing in a dictionary. That would prevent you from coming off as an arrogant, poorly educated buffoon.

Religion is a tool that we humans have developed to put our world into perspective and enrich it with meaning. Religion is the way that you coherently put your thoughts, beliefs, and preconceptions about what the world is and how it works into a framework that will color your everyday experience.

Insanity, on the other hand, is not even a real condition. There is no psychological disturbance called crazy. Disturbance occurs when there is a break down of a person's ability to process and prioritize stimuli, or when a person loses the ability to screen out unwanted, or destructive thoughts .

Dear atheist, having trouble denying Jesus? All that is written in the Bible is true! Insanity is alot like being an agnostic or atheist. none
of these 3 types of people make any sense.
Have a Great Day! And take the time to learn about God!

If you don't know the difference, I pity you.

In the ebb and flow of living
As we wander through the years
We're told to listen to a voice
We can't here with our ears
They say to live by something
That you can't see with your eyes
Is there really any purpose
To this foolish exercise?

Could it be You make Your presence known
So often by Your absence?
Could it be that questions tell us more
Than answers ever do?
Could it be that You would really rather die
Than live without us?
Could it be the only answer that means anything
Is You?
In our words and in our silence
In our pride and in our shame
To the genius and the scholar
To the foolish and insane
To the ones who care to seek You
To the ones who never will
You are the only answer even still

It's a question you can't answer
An answer you cannot express
That the gentle Man of Sorrow
Is the source of happiness
You'll never solve the mystery
Of this magnetic man
For you must believe to understand

Could it be the only answer that means anything
Is You? -Michael Card

Insanity prevents people from seeing reality. True religion opens peoples' eyes to reality.
